"would you stop following me?!" i yelled a bit. a bunch of people looked at me, i apologized and bowed like a polite student would do.

"i can't," she said and took a step forward. "okay, i'll stay here and you try walking five steps forward."

i followed her instructions and took five steps forward while she just stood there. before i could even blink, she was already in front of me. "see?"

i groaned and continued walking. i took my phone out and pressed it against my ears so it would look like i'm talking to someone on the phone rather than talking to mid air.

"so i'm stuck with you?" i said bluntly while she was by my side. she nodded at my question. "can't ghosts teleport? i mean, i've seen a bunch of ghosts teleport in movies. who knows you might be tricking me?"

"humans are so stupid," she said and rolled her eyes.

"don't get all cocky, you were human too before," i said as we reached the school grounds.

"before,"

"i am heading to class and phones aren't allowed so you better not talk to me," i said and hastened my footsteps, but as usual, she was already beside me. i groaned and placed my phone in my pocket.

i went to my classroom and sat on my chair, yulhee isn't here yet. i took a book out and started reading.

"what and why are you reading?" she asked as she was behind me.

"i'm studying for a test," i whispered, hoping no one could hear me. she nodded and sat on yulhee's chair.

the school bell rung indicating class has started, but yulhee isn't here yet.

"good morning everyone," the teacher greeted. "who are absent?"

"yulhee," i answered.

"what happened to her?" miss ahn asked.

"i don't know," i replied.

"pop quiz," miss ahn suddenly said while raising thick pads of test questionnaires. everyone groaned while i didn't. i was prepared. i always was.

"get one and pass," miss ahn said and gave the thick pads of test questionnaires to the front row. "you have one hour."

once i got my paper, i answered swiftly. the test was by far easy and i didn't have a problem answering them, except for item no. fifty.

"fifteen minutes left,"

i started tapping the tip of my pen on the table. "oh come on!" i groaned to myself.

i lost focus when violet stood up and went in front to the teacher's table. she started flipping through the papers.

luckily, no one was seeing this, my other classmates were too busy on the test and miss ahn is on her phone. after she was finished, she sat next to me again.

"the answer is 20.48 L," she said and smiled. "i looked at the key to correction."

"one minute left,"

i didn't want to believe her, but i only got one minute left so i wrote it down. i flipped the paper and rested my back on the chair.

"time's up! hands up everybody!"

the student's groaned except for me and raised their hands up. "who aren't finished yet?" miss ahn asked. almost everyone raised their hands up except me.

"'you done mr. jeon?"

"yes," i replied. she took my test questionnaire and told me to put my hands down.

"pass your papers,"
