There it was. That stupid excited feeling in the pit of Brooklyn's stomach again. There was only one guy that could make her feel that way.
And that guy had just agreed to adding her back on Snapchat.
Do you know what that meant for Brooklyn? She could send him snapchats, and if she was lucky enough, he would send them back. That meant seeing his face a little bit more every day. Just seeing his profile picture could light up her day. Just imagine seeing his actual face.
Brooklyn knew she was incredibly lucky to get Ethan to accept her on Snapchat. Sure, the guy probably got heaps of views on his snap story but only a limited amount of people could actually send him snapchats.
And she was just about to become one of those people.
This past month had been really busy for Brooklyn. She had been working long shifts during the day because she was saving up to go travelling.
As soon as Brooklyn had finished high school, she moved out. Being independent was important to Brooklyn, and seeing as her parents never had much money, they could never really afford her anyway.
She lived alone in her cheap Sydney apartment. She was used to pulling her own weight ever since she had been old enough to get a job. Brooklyn has been living in Sydney for over a year now and has easily adapted to the new lifestyle. It gets hard sometimes - to work in two jobs - but it's what she has to do to maintain a comfortable lifestyle.
