Ethan let his finger hover over the accept button for many minutes. It felt like a big step to accept a "fan" on Snapchat.
It somehow felt wrong to do this. To him, Brooklyn was a lot more than a fan and although he'd never admit it, he'd developed a crush on her. That didn't stop him from feeling as if he was nothing more than some "celebrity" to her. He didn't want to give Brooklyn any special treatment compared to his other fans. They'd all love to be able to snap him as well.
"Fuck it." Ethan muttered under his breath as he pressed his thumb onto the accept button.
Simultaneously, Grayson walked into the room.
"Hey, who's Brooklyn Matthews?" He asked through a mouthful of food.
"Uh - what?" Ethan whipped around to see Grayson shoving his phone into Ethan's face. It was open to Brooklyn's twitter page.
"Everyone's going crazy. They all think you're dating her or something. As if you could get a girl like her." Grayson laughed.
"She's actually pretty cute." He smiled as he browsed her twitter page.
Ethan's cheeks flushed a deep red.
"Dating? Why do they think that?" Ethan asked as glimpses of him and Brooklyn being a couple flashed through his head.
"I don't know. You've just been liking a lot of her tweets." Grayson sighed.
"You'd tell me if there was something going on between you and a girl, right?" Grayson raised his eyebrows at Ethan.
"Of course bro! Why wouldn't I?" Ethan replied guiltily, knowing very well that Grayson had no clue of his conversations with Brooklyn.
Grayson gave Ethan a wide grin.
"I knew it. Wanna go get Starbucks?"
