It's been eight years now. Lucci was working undercover as a shipwright. Working with Kalifa, Blueno, and Kaku. But there wasn't a day that you didn't cross his mind. He wondered if you were okay. If you had finally found the place you'd be happy. A place where you could be. Free.
Lucci wiped the sweat from his forehead with a rag. He sighed brushing off his hands before Hattori fluttered onto his shoulder. He perked up when a man walked into the shipyard. Twisting his mustache and spinning his cane. Kaku stepped up to him.
"Good morning sir, how can I help you?" He asked.
"I need my ship repaired as soon as possible." He spoke, "I had a falling out with a client and. Lets just say he didn't like what I had to say and destroyed my ship."
"What is it you sell?"
"Oh just some exostic pets. I have collected them from pretty much everywhere. And I need to have a place to put them. Since my ship has been. Destroyed. They have no place to stay. I'm worried they will start to eat each other."
"Oh sure I can have a look."
Kaku was about to go with him when Lucci placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Lucci and I can go. We have some spare time." Hatori said.
Kaku nodded as Lucci followed the man to his ship. It was a large ship with large holes in the sides. Lucci stepped up onto the deck.
"We're going to check the inside for any permanent damages." Hattori said.
"Sure. Just. Mind the step."
Lucci stepped inside finding door after door fill the halls. His eyes flicked to the doors. Until he noticed a large door at the end of the hall.
"Lucci, I think we should look in there." Hattori muttered.
He glanced to the bird before stepping up to the door. Lucci slid open the slit in the door. His amber eyes peered inside. A set of glowing green stared back at him having him furrow. A hand with black fur and claws lashed out. Lucci grabbed its wrist. But. Didn't expect.
"Lucci?" You whimpered.
He perked up releasing your wrist. You pulled away before reaching out to him again. Your gentle touch reached his cheek before you smiled.
"Lucci, you found me." You said.
He placed a hand on yours before glancing to you inside the room.
"This was Spandams doing. I waited for you at the station. But. He got to me taking me here and. I'm scared. I've never been this scared in years." You sobbed.
He shushed you, when a stick smacked your hand. You hissed pulling your hand away and the slit in the door was shut. Lucci turned to the keeper.
"Sorry, I don't like people touching the merchandise." He said.
"Lucci! Lucci!" You cried.
The keeper turned to Lucci cocking a brow, "You know the Vixen? What is her name?"
Lucci or Hatori said a word they watched as you cried out. Clawing at the door begging for your freedom. The keeper growled grabbing a green orb from his pocket and opened the slit. He tossed it inside before quickly shutting the slit. Your crying soon softened before it grew quiet. Lucci growled turning to him.
"So. Fix my ship."
He agreed.
They brought the ship back to Galley La where they began to repair the ship. The Keeper and his crew brought out the animals one by one. In cages for in chains. But for you. Three men had to pull you out. Lucci stopped what he was doing seeing you being pulled out of the ship.
Chains bound your body. Your ankles were cuffed and a thick chain were binding them together. Your eyes were blindfolded. But your ears perked up as you turned to Lucci.
"Lucci." You muttered.
Two men grabbed you by your arms as you were pulled off the ship. But you remained looking in Lucci's direction. Knowing he was looking at you too. As you got off the ship you headed to a large cage. Where they locked you inside and then dragged you off. Kaku stood next to Lucci and nudged him.
"Who was that? She seemed to know you." Kaku asked.
Hattori shifted slightly, "That was (Y/N) she used to be one of us before she ran away. Where Lucci was convinced she left without him. But it came to our attention we've been deceived."
Lucci growled batting Hattori away before storming off. Hattori fluttered onto Kaku's shoulder.
"Lucci hates to admit it, but he loved her." Hattori said.
"Lucci actually had feelings for someone. That's actually a surprise for me."
"He was planning to marry her once they escaped. But. That never happened. Maybe it will now."
As night fell. You curled up on the floor. Still in chains and blindfolded. Your ears perked up when you heard a soft tapping. You perked up as they stopped before the door. Furrowing slightly you watched as the door was ripped off the hinges and fell to the floor. There was a low growl before the tapping grew closer, and the growl grew louder.
Your heart began to race as you huddled back into the corner of the room. Then. It stopped before you. Turning your head away from it you held your breath shutting your eyes waiting for death. But. The chains fell loose and the bindings to your eyes fell to the floor. Lucci stood above you wearing a mask. He smirked slightly holding out a hand to you. Smiling you took his hand as he helped you up. The two of you embraced tightly. Pulling back the two of you kissed softly.
"I thought I was never going to see you again." You muttered.
"As did I. But we have to hurry and-"
"Well, well, well, looks like a little. Rat. Has put his nose where it doesn't belong." The Keeper spoke.
You gasped clutching onto Lucci. Curling up under his chin. Lucci stood proud holding close to you.
"Wait, you're the shipwright from earlier right? The Vixen called, Lucci right? From what I saw. Maybe you should be in my zoo too. Keep the Vixen, comfortable."
Then he chuckled, Lucci grew angry.
"Maybe breed some kind of sick child and I could sell it. Make some good money off it."
Lucci pulled away from you and approached him. Grabbing his collar. He turned to you.
"Free the others."
You nodded leaving Lucci to the man. His form grew bigger, with a ugly growl. The Keeper struggled.
"W-What are you doing! Don't- NO NO!"
