robin searched frantically for his phone, it seemed that everywhere he looked it was just wrong. he finally found it and tried turning it on.

his hands shaking and his mind one thing only, regina.

she was barely awake, the sweet temptation of unconsciousness about to overtake her. she was holding onto the wall with one hand and with the other, gripping remains of robins shirt in her fist.

robin finally grabbed the phone out of the ripped pocket.

"i got it." he held it up so she could see.

"regina, love i need you to stay awake. ok, stay with me." he looked into her badly beaten, but still beautiful face. she nodded slowly and did her best to keep her heavy eyes opened.

robin struggled to open the phone and dial the number.

"shit." he mumbles under his breath a few times before he began yelling.

"no!! damn it!!" he paced the hallway.

"robin, what's wrong?" regina coughed.

"i have no signal. i have to get out of here so we can reach the police and the paramedics to come and get you regina."

"robin, please don't leave me again. please." regina pleaded.

"regina, love, your badly hurt i need to reach them so we can get you out of here safely." he rubbed her arm.

"ill be right back. don't move."

"robin, no" she said as loudly as she could until he was gone.

she was terrified. the thought that robin was gone and those men could take her again. this moment so similar to the first time.

'your ok' regina kept repeating in her head over and over. she backed up against the nearest wall and her eyes scanning, making her well aware of her surroundings. she tried to pull her knees up to her chest, but the pain was much to harsh.

just then, she heard banging, banging on the cold metal door they were just on the other side of.

'no, no, no' regina thought to herself, 'they're alive and they're coming back to get me.'

regina stood up as quick as she could. she held the wall and walked in the direction robin just left in. the closer she got, the more she began to call his name,

then she heard one last loud bang, and voices coming her way.

~

robin dialed walked the halls and continued dialing the phone until he got an answer.

"911, what's your emergency?"

"h-hello, hello"

"sir, can you hear me?"

"yes, yes.. i️ need help right away, my wife and i️ have been taken and we don't know where we are, she was beaten very badly and has obvious internal bleeding. i️ don't know what to do, please help us."

"ok sir, breathe. since you don't know where you are we are going to have to keep you on the line until we get a location from your phone. then we will send people your way."

"thank you so much"

just then robin heard regina's cries, from down the hallway that seemed to never end.

"robin, robin, mmm. help, please robin"

"regina?!"

he ran in the direction of her voice. and as soon as his eyes landed on her fragile body, the same men from before rounded the corner.

she spun her head around when she saw robins expression.

from that moment forward, everything seemed to move in slow motion for robin. them men charged for regina and robin did the same.

regina built up every last bit of strength she had left and ran to her husbands arms. he held her close with one arm and with the other he grabbed a small gun from his back pocket. one that he had found when he made his way through the halls.

the men stopped dead in their tracks, raised their hands and asked for robin to spare their lives. robin made sure regina was alright, then spoke to them.

"you men have done to much to my wife and i️. you have hurt her in a way that no one should ever be hurt and for that you will pay."

before robin could pull the trigger, one of the men charged at him, sending him crashing to the ground and regina and the gun in the other direction.

regina took in the scene around her , her adrenaline kicking right in. she lunged for the gun and stood, pulling the trigger and shooting the man that was coming for her.

robin and the other man immediately stopped their fighting and looked at regina. and i'm a matter of seconds, the man took robin in a headlock.

"stop!" he shouted, "one more move and your husband here, gets it." he slid his hand into his pocket and pulled out a knife, placing it to robins throat.

"no!" she shouted, "please, please don't."
the man only pulled robin tighter,
making his lack of breath evident now.

"i️ knew you and your partner before all this, you each had very bad experiences as children. you didn't have either of your parents and that caused you to grow up miserably and turn into someone you'd never image you'd become. so i'm begging you, please don't kill my husband, not for me but for my children. i️ already know i'm probably not going to make it out of here. but he can and..." regina was taking in short breaths now, robin knew she was in pain. "...and he can make it home to all five of them."

and just like clock work the man began to cry, he released robin, regina began to feel everything she had just done and she collapsed, robin running and catching her before she hit the ground.

"robin.......i️...i.... i️ can't.....breathe."

"regina, look at me. in and out, in and out. your going to be ok, your not dying on me, do you hear me?"

"robin... you and..... i️ both know.....i'm not ok."

"regina just stay awake, the paramedics will be here really soon and you'll be ok"

and just as robins voice began to fade out, she saw two robins, then four, then black before he would shake her awake again.
the paramedics burst through the entrance and began calling out, searching for them.

regina could hear robins yells, but couldn't make out what he was saying. he never let go of her, even while trying to get their attention.

eventually they came down the hallway where regina lay on the ground. she saw faces look down on her and that's when she finally let the sweet temptation of sleep pull her under.
