It had been 6 months since the kidnapping.  Robin had almost completely healed and was working on helping Regina. she was still in the hospital. that miserable hospital that she now hated so much.

she missed their kids and their home and their bed. she wanted nothing more than to be home.

robin had just taken a trip to pick up the kids from school and bring them home, when he returned, he found his wife  crying, rolled over so her back was facing him as he entered.

he made his way over to her, "regina, what's the matter love? are you in pain?"

"no robin," she paused, looking down at her hands and then back to him.

"i miss you robin. i know i see you everyday, but i miss holding onto you and being close to you. i miss the kids, so much. i miss home, and our bed, and my clothes, and the comfort of you holding me at night. i hate this damned hospital room. i want to be home so badly." she was still crying as he held her hands.

"there's something else isn't there," robin asked because robin noticed, he always noticed.

"robin, i have nightmares, almost every night. and when i wake up sweating, or crying, or unable to breathe, i roll over and your not here." she was sobbing.

robins heart broke for her.
he should have been there for his wife when she needed him most. then, without letting go of her hands, he stood and laid with her in her bed.

she buried her face into his clothes, breathing in the smell she loves so much. taking in fistfuls of the fabric that was his clothes.

"regina, im going to talk to the doctor about when you can come home. ok?"

she nodded in his chest. robin had never seen her so broken. she needed to be in their home, where she felt safe and he knew he could keep her that way.

he rubbed circles on her back and played with her hair. both things he knew calmed her down.

once her breath evened out and he assumed she was asleep, he reached around the side of the bed and pushed the nurse call button.

he returned to playing with her hair and looking at her face. she looked so uncomfortable here. after a few minutes, a nurse and a doctor came in.

the last time regina pushed that button, it was her third night in the room.

she had been asleep and robin next to her in the chair asleep. her eyes shot open but she couldn't breathe.

she reached and pushed the button so many times until someone came in. the lights turned on, her monitor was beeping out of control and she looked at the nurses helplessly.

she mouthed 'i can't breathe' while gasping for air. all the commotion woke robin. he didn't know what to do. his wife, the person he loved most in this world, could be dying. for the second time.

he stood in the corner of the room, he was frozen in his place when he heard the sound of her monitor crashing.

'no' he thought. the nurses were trying their best, but they couldn't do what a doctor did. robin took action.

"alright, she crashing. MOVE MOVE MOVE. i need a crash cart." robin took the bedsheets off her and kissed the side of her temple.

the nurse rolled the cart in and he yelled,
"charging to 200. CLEAR!" and he shocked his wife. nothing.

"one more time! Charging to 200. CLEAR!" and again.

regina's eyes shot open and she gasped for air.
