House Points

In Harry's first year the Slytherin's are in the lead with house points and Gryffindor is in last place. Only Dumbledore felt the need to award Harry,Ron, Hermione, and Neville enough points to win. Maybe it's just the Hufflepuff in me but I have always found this unfair.

He awarded Ron house points for playing an amazing chess game. Really? I'm mean I guess it was the greatest chess game Hogwarts had ever seen but really? If you had to award him points at least give him less than what he actually ended up being awarded.

He awarded Harry points for basically acting like a Gryffindor. But he is a Gryffindor. So to make that fair he would have to award members of every house for acting like their house. So points for Draco for being resourceful enough to attempt to offer Harry your friendship. You failed Harry hates you, but you tried.

He awarded Hermione points for being smart. But doesn't she get points in all her classes for that? So really she shouldn't have been awarded any extra points.

Neville is the only one that has ever truly made sense to me. So he can keep his points.

Slytherin wins but Gryffindor made enough points to not be in dead last. Everyone is (semi) happy.
