I woke up with our school emergency alarms blaring through my room. I looked over to Linda who was clutching her chest and a look of panic on her face. Of all the years this school has been open never once the alarms went off.

“What do you think is happening?” I asked Linda nervously.

“Probably they caught someone breaking in.” she said with a sheepish smile.

I got out of the bed letting the cold tile floors greet me with a shiver running down my spine. Walking to the door, I peeked underneath the door to see what’s happening. There was a feeling of dread that hung in the air. I knew there can’t be anyone breaking into this place. Maybe it was

“Everyone report to the auditorium now!” came over the loudspeaker breaking into my thoughts.

Slowly turned to Linda and said, “This isn’t about anyone breaking into the school. They never called us to report to the auditorium not once. Not even when Rachel ran away and died of hypothermia in the snow.”

We linked arms and went down to the auditorium. In a small whisper she told me she was scared. I wanted to tell her I was scared too. But, everyone looks up to me so; I put on a brave face.

“Were going to be fine. Don’t worry too much.” Underneath my brave voice I was shaking. Stepping into the hall all the girls were standing in front of their doors. I smiled a reassuring smile and went to the auditorium. The girls followed slowly after me.

I picked a seat in the back. Trying to go unnoticed. The headmaster and all the teachers were there except somebody. I couldn’t put my finger on it. I slowly turned my attention to Mr. Holloway. We only see him once a year so he can keep the school spirit. I scoffed every time he comes here. There is no ounce of school spirit around here. We aren’t even allowed to have a mascot! I came up with the idea of Roaring Gummy Bears.

“This morning there was a tragic accident that happened to our very school.” Mr. Holloway began. “One of our very own was murdered this morning. Lady Penny.”

This sent a ripple of gasps and whispers throughout the crowd. I turned to Linda with shock written over my face. I might not have liked Lady Penny but I didn’t want her dead. I might have wished it but, that was going too far. Breathe. Breathe. I tried to say something to Linda but my voice was so shallow. She tried to say something but all I can hear is bee buzzing around in my head.

“One of your classmates committed this horrid act against Lady Penny. Sasha Life.”

Sasha my Sasha. The loud, mouth, back talking, opinionated Sasha.

“She then took her own life. There will be dire consequences because of her actions. All of you will have to suffer for what she did. We are cracking down hard. If any of your teachers say as much as a warning to you. Your going to wish you hadn’t.” His face looked as he if he saw someone mugging an old woman.

“You will be given a warning, then a paddling, next isolation, lastly it’s a surprise. That I promise you won’t enjoy.” With that he walked off.

During that time all I can think about was Sasha. How can she kill Lady Penny and herself? I pulled Linda in a hug and let her cry while I wiped away her tears.

I dragged myself to the showers and turned on the water. Like the water it poured like my tears.

I upload every week. I’m to busy during the week to upload then. I have to study for my eoc and exams.
