I felt something cold drip onto my forehead, i opened my eyes seeing a tall boy playing with this dog. I slowly got up tip toeing towards the door, I felt a hand on my shoulder I turned and flipped him over. His legs got in contact with mines sweeping me off my feet, he tried pinning me till I bucked my hips flipping him off, I jumped up placing a case towards his face.

"I'm not going to hurt you" his lips read, why does he look so familiar. I felt tugging at my pants I turned to see the little pup trying to fight with me, I giggled sitting on the couch.

I looked up to see Lauren with tears in her eyes, as she pulled me into a hug. I hugged her with everything in me, she makes me feel so safe.

"Are you okay?" She gestured. I nodded. Her face went red and I was confused as she started walking around talking to the tall boy I guess.
He was gripping his hair as he pointed at me. I looked worried at Lauren.

"Is everything okay? Am I making you two argue?" I gestured as the boy looked at me in disbelief.

"She's deaf" his lips moved as he ran his hands through his hair as he walked towards me wrapping his arms around me. I never felt so lost. Well.. I'll tell you that another time.

"Do you phone her" Lauren gestured ahhh she meant know, hey at least she letting me know what she's saying.

I saw the boy talk back as Lauren eyes watered as she embraced my into a tight hug. She grabbed the white board that rested on the counter and scribbled and scribbled.

"Were you in 9/11??" My heart stopped. I nodded as she erased and pointed at the boy, flipping.

"You saved my brother.." I shook my head trying to explain I can't remember anything after the collapsing of the building. I started tearing up of frustration grabbing my head rocking back and forth.
I felt a warm pair of arms slender around me holding me tightly. I looked up with tears as I was met with the same reflection.

"I lost my mom.. in 9/11." She gestured as she wiped the tears from my eyes.
I felt my body shaking due to all this information hitting me in the face at once.

I grabbed the white board gently out of Laurens's hand as I slowly wrote down the names I lost..

"I lost my mom, dad, and sister.. I've been in foster care since I was 8, I lost them when I was 5 ."
I seen both pair of eyes go wide.
Both heads snapped at the door as Lauren gestured,

"Someone at the door, stay put" I nodded as I played with the dog. What an amazing creature huh.

I looked at Lauren running towards me as i was very confused on me and I seen the boy trying to fight off this man coming towards me, but stopped when the man I guess yelled.
The man approached me reaching out his hand, I looked at Lauren as she nodded. I saw a dark woman walked in smiling in my direction, she gestured something that I never thought I'd hear.

"Hello Y/n, I'm your new foster parent!"
