Roselan pov
**flashback**
I start my new school today. To be honest, I'm not all that excited. I don't like meeting new people that much. I've always been kind of an outcast. Everyone at my old school was a bunch of goody two shoes, so naturally I wouldn't fit in. I hope that I at least have one friend at my new school.
"Roselan!" my Mom yelled, snapping me out of my trance.
"Coming!" I yelled back.
I grabbed my backpack and ran down the stairs. I knew that I couldn't be late because showing up late on your first day is embarrassing. I am really nervous. Mainly because yesterday I asked my Mom to trim my hair, and she ended up cutting it as short as the top of my ears. Now I'm going to have an even harder time making friends.
"We're here!" my mom said, knowing that I wasn't excited at all.
"Woohoo!" I yelled with sarcasm in my voice.
I put my hood up, and then got out of the car. I looked around to see where all the other kids were going, so that I wouldn't go in the wrong door. I found the right door, and I went inside. I found a couple of other girls, and followed them. They went out another door on the other side of the school. I think it led to the playground.
I followed them out there and took a seat on the pavement, just like everybody else. I sat for a minute, and then two girls came up to me.
"Hi." the first girl said to me.
"Hi." I replied.
"If you ever want someone to hang around with, I'm here." she said.
With that they walked away. After a while, the principal came to the front of all the students sitting. He gave a little speech, and then sent us off to our classrooms. I walked up to the girl who I talked to earlier to ask her where my classroom was.
"Hi, do you know where Mrs. Klaran's classroom is?" I asked her.
"Ya, that's actually my teacher too. Follow me, I'll show you where it is." she said.
I followed her to our classroom. I looked around and found my desk. The desk were split up into groups of five. My group was with three guys and one girl. The guys names were Ravan, Calvan, and Jaysan. The girl's name was Maylan. They seemed pretty nice. Maylan was really nice and pretty. I think we are going to become close.
We just had math, and now we are having recess.
"Wanna play tag?" Maylan asked.
"Sure, sounds fun." I replied.
So now we are playing tag. I think I'm winning because I haven't been tagged yet. Just as Maylan was about to tag me, the teacher said it was time for us to come inside. We went inside, and had class. The whole time Maylan and I were goofing off. I can't wait to get to know her more.
**After Class**
I asked Maylan to spend the night at my house tonight since it's a friday. Why was the first day of school on a friday? I have no idea. Anyway, right now we are at my house. I think Maylan is having fun. We just got done painting our nails, and let me tell you I am horrible at painting nails.
"So what do you want to do now?" Maylan asked.
"Maybe my mom will tale us to a movie." I replied.
"What kind of movie should we watch?" She asked.
"A scary one." I replied with a grin on my face.
With that we went to the movies. We decided we would watch Mama. It's this new scary movie where these kids are left in the woods in this cabin, and there's this ghost who acts like their mom. It's kind of creepy. Especially since Maylan and I are only in fourth grade.
We are midway through the movie now. Maylan wanted me to hold her hand because she was scared. I'm not scared though. I grew up on scary movies. My mom loved to watch them, so she let us watch them all the time. I'm having so much fun. I'm so glad I met Maylan. I can already tell we are going to be bestfriends.
Well the movie is over now, and we are at home. I convinced my dad to let Maylan stay the night. We are getting ready for bed when I spot that Maylan has this blue robe with a monkey on it. I love monkeys.
"Nice robe." I say.
"Thanks." Maylan replies. "Want to wear it?"
"Of course!" I practically shouted. "I love monkeys"
I put on her robe. It fit pretty well, and it was very comfortable. I don't think I'm ever going to take it off.
"I know what you are thinking, and yes you are going to take it off." Maylan said.
That made both of us crack up. After a while of laughing, we could tell we were both very tired.
"Time for some sleep?" I asked.
"Oh most definitely." Maylan said. "You know, I sure am glad that you came to my school."
"Me too." I replied.
With that, we got some sleep.
**The Next Day**
I woke up and realized that Maylan was still asleep. She was so pretty all the time, it was weird. I decided I probably should wake her up because she had to leave soon.
"Hey sleepy head. Wake up. You have to go home soon." I said.
"But I don't want to go home." She said.
"Maybe we can convince my dad to let you stay another night?" I suggested.
"That is such a great idea." She replied.
With that we got up and went downstairs to convince my dad. I hope he says yes, but I don't think he will because this is my first sleepover ever.
I just got done asking my dad, and surprisingly he said he could stay the night again. I can't wait because today is going to be awesome. I think I want to show her my dogs now. We didn't really get a chance to see them yesterday since we went to the movies and all.
We are outside playing with the dogs now. They are two saint bernards named Maisy and Barkley. They are so cute, and Maylan absolutely loves them. I am so glad she is my friend and I can't wait to see what's in store for us."
