The small town of Riverdale was never the same after Jason Blossom's murder. No one could trust anyone. Neighbors against neighbors. Families against families. Friends against friends. It was like a wave of uncertainty drowned the town into becoming a mess of protectiveness. Hannah Andrews is a loud girl with an even louder personality. Jason Blossom's death did not affect her as much as it affected her friends. She was one of the few things that had not changed. This is how Jughead Jones is brought in. Archie Andrews, Hannah Andrews, and Jughead Jones had always been the best of friends. Ever since they were little climbing up in tree houses, for Hannah it was falling out of them, and dinners at Pop's were a continuous routine for the trio. High school was when the routine halted. Archie joined the football team, Hannah was a vixen, and Jughead, well Jughead stayed like Jughead. Little did the trio know they would become closer than ever.
Hannah's POV*
Bzzzzz. Bzzzzzz. Bzzzz. Ugh, what is that noise?I groggily opened my eyes and took a deep breath in. What time is it? All of the lights were turned off but my bedroom was anything but dark. Light peeked in through my window, seeping its way through my baby blue painted room. Baby blue was my favorite color when I was little and I had begged my dad to paint my room from pink to blue. I still haven't changed it. Slowly picking up my phone from my nightstand the phone flashed Betty C. Oh my Betty, this is definitely not the time to be calling me. I tapped the decline button and read the time. 6:56 am. Shit. Oh shit! I'm late on the first day of school! Why in the world didn't Archie wake me up?!? I'll get back at him later but I seriously need to get ready for school. Hastily, I jumped out of bed rushing my door open and ran into the bathroom.12 minutes later
If it were in the Olympics I would so earn a gold medal for fastest time getting ready. My feet padded against the stairs as I practically tumbled myself down.
*For some reason, i was thinking of Brandon Rogers' video A Day With Mom and I started laughing at 2 am.*
"ARCHIE!" I yelled at my idiotic brother. He looked up, surprised at my outburst. "It was about time you got up, we're gonna be late for school." "You were supposed to wake me up!" Archie shrugged and got up from his seat at the kitchen table. "I forgot." I rolled my eyes, he hasn't been the same ever since freshman year. Ever since we stopped talking to Jughead, it's like Archie is a brand new person, I personally am not fond of. Me and Archie got the last of our things for school together and headed out the door. We walk to school together. That hasn't changed, we've been doing that for ever. As we walked through the streets of our neighborhood, I looked down at my phone and I had 3 missed calls from Betty. Betty is probably my best friend. She's always had this crush on Archie and I thought they would be perfect for each other. I called Bettie back, ring...ring....ring....rin-"Hello?" "Bets why have you called me three times this morning," I laughed. "Welllllll...... as you know it's the first day of school.... and I really wanted to walk with my best friend to school so I wanted to call her and tell her that so if she turned around...." Betty trailed off as I spun around seeing her on the phone right behind me. Archie noticed her presence and smiled as she walked in between us. The walk to school was made up of mostly Archie and Betty flirting with my occasional comments added in. My brother and my best friend flirting was something to put up with if I wanted my ship to sail. Our walk went by fast as we neared the school taking in Riverdale High's "glorious" presence.
"I'm going to see if I can find Kevin, I'll see you guys at lunch." I waved bye at Betty and Archie but they seemed too caught up in their own little world to even notice me leaving. Ah, young love. How.....cute?
Kevin Keller is the sheriff's son. He was one of the new friends I made freshman year. Handsome wouldn't even come to describe him, he was that perfect. Now you might be thinking, "Why aren't you dating?" Kevin is what I like to call, too gay to function. (Mean Girls reference anyone)I walked in the schools as my Vans squeaked across the fake marble floor of the school. A glimpse of brown hair flashed my eyes as I scurried over to it. "Kevin!" He whipped around as his eyes widened and a smile-ish appeared on his face.
"Hannah, hey!" We tatted walking side by side to home room with the occasional group of teens walking by. "What is up with your outfit," I glanced over my outfit. I know I had to rush to get ready, but I didn't think it was that bad."What's wrong with it?" Kevin just sighed and shook his head. "It's cute and all but it's your first day back after an incredibly eventful Summer," I rolled my eyes," you could've at least worn jeans." "Oh sweet, sweet, Kev you have a lot to learn about the female gender."
The bell rang and swarms of students made their way into the school and trying to get to home room on time. "Gotta go, Kev, I'll see you later!" A distant "bye" was heard as I realized he was already half way down the hall. I have a feeling this is going to be an interesting day.
