We arrived on the huge campus. I'm surprised my parents are sad to see me leave. They made me grow up so fast sending me off to college. Never being around like normal parents to help me celebrate accomplishment, like winning a soccer game or a spelling bee. Now, there afraid of me leaving. There showing emotion.
"I'm so happy for you honey. I want you to have a good time, but remember to focus of your studies. Your only 16!" My mom said as we headed for the registration desk.
"Name?" A young girl a little older than me asked with a fake smile. "I'm Lindsey, by the way."
"Jacqueline Caruso." I said. "Nice to meet you." I shook her hand.
"Wow! A 16 year old freshman. Your dorm room is, 387 in building, b. Lucky you, your roommates aren't here yet." She said handing me a key and some other information like my schedule. "You should think about joining the cheer team!"
"Thanks, maybe I will." I said with a fake smile as I left the desk and headed back to my parents. Wow she was annoying.
"Bye mom. Bye dad." I said giving them both hugs. "Love you."
Then I walked over to Bailey. "B. Don't look so sad. I'm going to miss you so much." I gave her a huge hug, a tear running down my cheek.
"I-it's just, what am I going to do without you? Your my other half, literally!" She said not letting go of me. "I love you."
"I love you too, I promise I'll text you and FaceTime you and visit as much as I can." I said. We parted ways and I watched them get in the car and start driving off.
Time to go to my dorm. I hope I don't have a bunch of hot headed, pink wearing, gum chewing 'popular' girls to share a room with.
