How to Save a Life

Brice sighed sadly as he sat on the park bench and watched the kids play.

Brice teared up as he remembered what happened a while ago.

~earlier~

"What do you need Seto?" Brice asked. "Brice we need to talk." Seto said, his head lowered.

Step one, you say we need to talk

"What about? Is there something wrong?" Brice asked. "Sit down." Seto demanded. Brice did as told and sat down.

He walks, you say sit down,it's just a talk

"Brice...why are you cheating on me?" Seto asked, he felt hurt. Brice froze.

He smiles politely back at you

Brice looked at Seto. He didnt know what to say.

You stare politely right on through

Seto held back tears and looked at Brice. "Am I not worth your time and love anymore." Seto said angryly.

Some sort of window to your right

Brice shook his head. "No. Seto why would I ever cheat on you. I love you. I would never do that to you." Brice said and held Seto's hands. Seto yanked his hands away from Brice. "Lies!" Seto screamed.

As he goes left, and you stay right

"Kyle and Taylor have told me. Told me how your dating someone else. How you love her and not me!" Seto yelled as tears fell down his face. Brice's eyes widened.

Between the lines of fear and blame

"Seto what do you mean? The only person I love is you. You must have been miss hearing Kyle and Taylor." Brice said and stood up in front of Seto.

You begin to wonder why you came

"Shut up!" Seto screamed. "Kyle and Taylor are my most trusted friends! They would never lie! Maybe Kyle would be a better boyfriend than you!" Seto began to cry. Brice knew what Kyle and Taylor had been doing.

Where did I go wrong?

Brice didnt think Seto would fall for their dirty lies. Brice looked at Seto as he felt his heart tear in two. Tears flowing down his face like waterfalls.

I lost a friend

"Now get out! I never want to see your face ever again!" Seto said ignoring that Brice was now hurt and crying. Brice stepped back and looked away from Seto. "I'm sorry, I failed to protect you..." Brice mumbled. Seto heard this but before he could ask what Brice meant, Brice was already out the door.

Somewhere along in the bitterness

Brice ran and ran. His heart was broken and he felt like it couldn't be fixed. Why did he ever care about Seto?

And I would have stayed up with you all night

Brice knew that Seto was the one. He knew that Seto wouldn't break up with him. He knew that he wasn't like all the other people he use to date. And he fell deep in love with Seto.

Had I known how to save a life

What I lie. His heart lied to him. He tried to protect Seto from Kyle. If only Brice was more careful he would have been able to save Seto...from the rapist Brice knew, Kyle.
