Ch. 6 Wedding or not

Max's pov
I woke up to see Fang asleep next to me. I kissed his cheek and carefully got up. I got to my dresser and saw the calendar. Today was Angel's wedding! Shit! "Fang wake up," I said shaking him. "What's wrong Max?" He asked. "Today is Angel's wedding day!" I said frantically trying to find the bridesmaids dress that we got months before Fang returned. I soon remembered that it was is my closet. I pulled it out and Fang's tuxedo that he got for job interviews. I threw it at him and started to undress my pajamas. I took the dress out and slipped it on. (Pic above.) Well it fit because we accidentally got too big for me. Angel was going to fix it a month ago but since how I'm pregnant that wasn't necessary. I was definitely showing since how I am 4 months into this. I showed Fang and he just stood there in awe. "You look amazing. Max you are so beautiful," he said with his chest still bare but his tuxedo pants on. "Thanks," I said kissing him on the lips. I was putting my hair in the way Angel wanted it to be. A French braid with glitter in the hair. Fang was silently watching me with a smile on his face. "What?" I asked. "You doing your own hair, and I can't wait for our wedding," he said. He was now completely dressed. "Oh yeah I can't wait either. Can you go wake up Ella and her boyfriend if he is here for me and tell them to get dressed for Angel's wedding please?" I asked. "Of course," he said kissing my cheek and leaving the room. My phone started to ring so I looked at it. Angel.

"Hello Angel is everything alright?"

"No!" I heard sobbing.

"What's wrong?"

"Max. My fiancé cheated on me."

"Seriously?"

"Yes seriously Max there will be no wedding I am sorry."

"When did you find out?" Fang and the others were in the room.
"Today."

"Angel we are on our way to you. To comfort you."

"Ok thank you Max."

"No problem Angel."

I hung up and told them no wedding. "What why what happened?" Ella asked. "Angel just found out her fiancé cheated on her so we are going there to comfort her," I said. "We will drive there together," Fang said. "Fang I can still fly," I said. "Yes I know but I don't want anything bad to happen to you and the baby," he said. "Fine," I said. We all got into the car, Ella and her boyfriend Mark were up front while me and Fang were in back. Fang grabbed ahold of my hand and gently squeezed it. I smiled and placed my head on his shoulder. He kissed the top of my head. Ella saw that and smiled as she was driving. We also had Diana with us in a car seat made for babies. I took my free hand and started to tickle my niece. She was giggling, and I was smiling. "There's a smile coming from the tough Max!" Fang said. "Oh shut it Fang I am not so tough anymore," I said. "I know," he said placing his free hand on my stomach. He was smiling at whatever thought was going through his mind but it made him happy so it made me happy as well.

We finally stopped at Angel's house and saw a truck full of boxes and Angel's ex was reversing the truck. We pulled into the driveway right after he left. We walked into the house and saw Angel crying really hard in Nudge's arms. "Max and you guys thank goodness," Nudge said but as Nudge said my name Angel came running towards me. I embraced her back and just let her cry. I soon made us walk over to the couch, where Fang was sitting, I sat down and Angel slumped down to the floor crying into my belly. I was petting her head trying to calm her down. "Sh everything will be alright Angel," I said. "How do you know?" Angel asked sobbing. "Because you made it through the most toughest times Angel and you were there for me when Fang left, and you still do except the Fang being gone, you helped Nudge go through her problem. You also helped Gazzy when he really needed his sister. You even helped me with Iggy. Now it is our turn to help you," I said, "you also are going to help this baby when it comes. You are here for everyone." "Yeah I guess you're right Max it just hurts," she said calming down. "I know it hurts this is what I felt when Fang left remember?" I asked. "Yeah you cried for days," she said. "But you helped me, you didn't let me get too depressed and now I need to do the same for you," I said. "Thanks Max," she said. "Hey we've been all together for forever. Do you honestly think we are going to give up on everyone?" I asked. "No I sure don't Max?" She asked. "Yeah?" I asked back. "You are going to be a great mother and Fang you are going to be a great father. You guys are perfect for each other," she said. "Thank you Angel, what do you need to have us do?" I asked. "Nothing really," she said standing up. "You need to just relax and not do anything," I said repeating what she said to me all those years ago. "Ok. Nudge can you unload and load the dishwasher for me please?" She asked Nudge. "Of course," Nudge said. "Can I listen to your stomach Max?" She asked knowing that baby has already been kicking. Fang's hand was on my belly feeling the kicks. He was amazed and deep in thought. "Sure Angel," I said.

We took turns doing something for Angel and she said that she would let us spend the night. Angel wouldn't let me do anything because of my baby but that's ok, my back was hurting anyway. It soon became night so we all went to bed in the living room. Me, Fang and Angel were on the futon couch. Nudge was in the chair next to it. Ella, Mark, and Gazzy were asleep on the floor.
