Western Union elementary, is where we're starting are story and how two people met and grow together.

Laura pov ( 6 years old)

I love school. My teachers,the classes but most of all i really love the libary. I never really had friends but who needs friends when you have books. We were all waiting for are teacher to come to class to start snack time and the morning shows.

I heard footsteps and murmers outside the door. Mr.victor stepped into the room, silenting the room. Beside Mr.victor was a girl with with shoudler length hair and and baseball cap on. She had brown eyes and hair.

"Ok everyone this is Rachel Kiker please respect her and make her feel welcomed into our class". Rachel didn't look up she kept staring at the ground. Mr.victor cleared his throat " Rachel you can sit my laura, Laura raise your hand please". Rachel raised her eyes from the ground looking straight. I raised my hand and her eye caught mine.

She walked over to the empty seat next to me in the back and plopped down while putting her head in her arms. I frowned alittle but kept to myslef for abit. They were passing out snacks it was oranges today. I noticed that rachel wasn't eating hers.

"Rache-" she cut me off "Ruben". "Ummm" "Ruben that's my name". "Well ok ruben would you like a orange. Ruben looked up at me and while i had the unpeeled orange sitting on a napkin in my hand. Ruben took a slice of it from me. I smiled "yayyy friends?" "Friends and luara isn't it?".
I nodded " Do you you know what transgender is?"

Lauras birthday(pov)
Today is my 8th birthday it's been two years since me and ruben have become friends and he,yes he is finally coming over to my house for the first time and im so happy. I skipped down my stairs and skipped into the kitchen to see my dad at the counter looking at the newspaper in his hand.

He looked up to see me and smiled brightly blue eyes shining brightly. " Hey baby doll how's my favorite girl today". I smiled up at him " I feel great,im excited to see my best friend ever". "Aaah yes the famous ruben you always speak of,you look more and more like your mother everyday doll". "I miss mommy"." It's ok honey she's watching you everyday and she always beside you holding you hand where ever you go". His blue eyes glossed over. I kissed his nosed to make him fell better and he kiised mine back.

I heard the doorbell go off. I wiggled out of my dads arms and he grabbed my hand and led me to the door. Ruben came into my view. I leapt out and wrapped my arms around his neck. " Rachel i'm so glad you could come". Rubens family didn't know he was trans yet so me and my dad kept are mouths quit about it.

Ruben hugged me back then he held out his hands there laying was a gift box. He smiled alittle at me i smiled even more back i took the gift and and ran to the kitchen laying the gift on the stool since i can't reach the counter yet. I looked up to see rubens mother she had beautiful brown hair that shimmered in the sun and brown eyes. She had freckles across her nose.

I waved and said " hi Mrs.Kiker how are you today". She smiled down at me " Im wonderful dear i can't believe your turning 8 today your growing so much". I took rubens hand and told my daddy we were going into my room really quit because he wanted to see my favorite book series. He told us that he will call for us. Once i closed my door ruben attacked me into a hug. I hugged back.

"I hate not able to not be myself at home,Laura what am i going to do" my heart broke hearing that ruben was the sweetest and selfless person i met i wish that he didn't have to wait to tell he was trans. "It will be ok just remember i will always be right here for you". He smiled at me. I heard my dad yell for me that dinner was ready.

I grabbed rubens hand and lead him down the stairs. We had dinner and cut the cake.
Ruben handed me his gift as i was opening it i saw ruben smiling alittle. It was a beanie a gray beanie. I grabbed ruben in a hug "thank you ruben thank you so much i love it".

Rubens birthday 9(pov)
Today is my 9th birthday and laura is coming over. Me and her have been friends for two year now and we are close. Her and her dad are the only people that know I'm transgendered. I haven't came out to my parents about it but i will when im 15 and luara said she will be right there to support me.

I was listening to music on the livingroom couch and playing with the switchblade. my dad got me but my mom hates it because i was to young. My father was outside talking to the neighbors and my mom was cooking in the kitchen. I heard the doorbell go off and my mom answered it. My mom greeted luara and her dad. As i guessed my mom and her dad were holding a conversation and i heard footsteps on the hardwood floor.

"Rachellllllll" i felt a weight on my chest it was the little bookworm luara. ""Hey luara". As we started up a conversation we were arguing about the movie vs the book. Of course luara is on the book side while im on the movie side. "R i swear the book as alot of more details and more scenes then the movie". "But L you know that the movie has all the action scenes that are alot more awesome in graphic then writing".

My mom called for us and my dad to come to the kitchen for dinner. We ate and added conversation same with cake then we got to gifts. Luaras was first she handed me her gift with a bright smile. I opened it, it was a oversized jumper with a red slashed "R". " I know it's to big but that was the last one they had by your favorite brand".

I slid off my chair and gave her a tight hug " I love it,thank you laura".

Highschool (ruben is 17 & luara is 16)

As ruben and luara grew so did there friendship and something is boiling up and it will explode soon. And when it does it wont be good. When ruben and luara entered highschool everything was normal and happy. Ruben came out to his family about him being transgendered. Even when his dad didn't accept him his mom did and his dad left them.

Ruben can almost fill in the the nine year old jumper. And luara can fill in her gray beanie even when it covers her eyes sometimes. But today was not a good day it was pouring down raining and even when ruben loved the rainy weather today was not a good day. He was late to first period and got detention after school.

It was was wensday and today was his second schedule were he had no classes with luara. They didn't even have lunch together. He was sitting in the corner of a table near the windows listening to music.
He saw Jessica and her group coming at his tabel. " well hello emo trash where is your little book slut at don't have her by your side awwh i feel so bad for you".

"Don't you DARE talk bad about her". She smirked. " awwwwh did we get the your panties in a twist" it was kenny that said that. I stood and grabbed my backpack and started to walk away. " let him go boys he will learn soon,real soon". I turned around a flipped them off while smirking. I walked right out of the cafeteria and headed straight to the place i know where luara would be. The libary.
