Chapter Nine

Kol's pov

*flashback*

"Lucy." I called to her from across the street. She turned to face me.

"Kol it's nice to see you."

"You said we would see each other again and we never did."

"We're seeing each other right now."

"You said that a hundred years ago Lucy."

"Look Kol I wanted to see you again but I couldn't bring myself to tell you."

"Tell me what?"

"Kol this is Ella my daughter."

"Hi I'm Ella." A little girl around the age of seven or eight said.

"You have a daughter?"

"Yes."

"Why didn't you want me to know?"

"Because I've changed since our encounter at the ball in 1725. One of them happens to be I had a daughter."

I played with Ella in the backyard while Lucy made lemonade. I wanted to go get ice cream. I mean it's New York City.

"Kol can I ask you something?" Ella asked in her sweet angelic voice.

"Yes little love." I sat on the patio and placed Ella on my lap.

"At school there is a play and I'm in it."

"That's wonderful little love."

"Will you please come?"

"I wouldn't miss it for the whole world."

"Thank you."

"You pick a place to eat honey." Lucy told her daughter.

"Can we go to the Corner Cafe mommy?"

"Of course."

"When will you be back?"

"Honey Kol isn't coming back."

"What about going to the waterpark for my birthday next week?" Ella cried onto my shoulder.

"I'm sorry. I love you little love." I kissed Ella's forehead and sped away from New York.
