It feels like yesterday.
When I took my first step with excitement,
Yet with fear.
Not knowing what's next.
It was the beginning of a brand new adventure,
In a new chapter.
I wasn't sure when the climax in this chapter would come,
Life's a roller coaster they say,
With ups and downs and I've managed to hold on tight and not fall off.
I didn't know a soul,
But the souls I know are always by my side,
No matter how many oceans are between us,
We are always connected by heart.
Here, I'm a newbie,
Where my name is the "new girl",
Just another unknown face trying to fit in,
Even though I'm born to stand out.
I'm grateful for all the friends I've made, past and present.
Every moment spent with you is cherished in my heart.
Memories I call them, memories I'll call them.
