NOT JUST THE END

You knew, you were the only one I had.
You knew, I had hopes on you.
You knew, I trusted you in every way.
You knew my story.
Many wanted you for themselves,
I pretended like I didn't care,
But deep down, I was jealous.
I was standing outside,
Looking through your window,
But your friend, she put the blinds down.
It seemed like you did not want to see me.
I know you'll not change,
I know you'll not forget the past.
The time has come to choose our own paths.
I wish we had so much more in our story and this is not just the end.
