Chapter thirteen: Time out

Also I appologise for the late update so I tried to make the chapter longer!

Romeos POV
Wendy had led me to the ocean side, but we didn't get much further before we were interrupted by screams.

"What's happening?!" I exclaimed as I listened out, the screams sounded as if Gray and Erza were close to us.

"Romeo... I'm scared," she began to close in but I fell to the floor before she could get comfort from me.

"Gahhhhh!" I screamed in pain, it felt as if a bolt of lightning had travelled through my veins. I tried to look up at her, to get one last glimpse of her but I couldn't, all my energy was lost. 

"Romeo!" Wendy called but I couldn't see her, not clearly at least.

"Wendy... I love you."

Levys POV
"I don't understand what's happening!" I yell as I began to watch half of the 'couples' fall to the floor in pain.

"What's happening to them?!" Gajeel shouts and he watches them cry. I scanned the book, only one explanation was logical.

"It seems like, like..." I couldn't finish, I didn't want to. I drew in a deep breath before continuing. "It seems like they are running out of time." I looked as the book, "it seemed as if it was absorbing any magic or energy they tried to use."

"No..." I looked a Gajeel, the sadness on his face evident.

"I won't accept this." I stood in front of the book, transferring some of my own magic into it.

"Levy what are you-" he stopped when he looked toward the book which began to glow.

Gajeels POV
"Can anyone hear me?" Levy asked as her eyes began to glow, the heavy use of  magic energy clear.

"Levy! Help!" Natsu called out as he held onto Lucy's waist.

"Levy!" Juvia cried holding onto Gray.

"Levy-chan!" Wendy called as she looked into the sky toward us.

"Oi! What's happening?!" Jellal shouted as he crouched over Erza.

"I don't have much time and neither do you," she begun, "you all are using too much magic energy and soon you'll have nothing left..." The book's glow began to fade and the magic power illuminating off of Levy faded as well. "Finish the story," we're her last words before she fell into my arms.

"You're doing great," I whisper brushing her hair off of her face. "I hope they realise what they have to do soon." It's a Fairy Tale after all, it all ends... With True Loves First Kiss.

Lucy's POV
Natsu held me tightly as I gripped his shirt, the pain that coursed through my body beginning to be unbearable.

"N-Natsu," I managed to whisper his name to grab his attention.

"Luce don't speak, your magic chamber is running low... If you use anymore energy." I looked into his weeping eyes.

"Natsu when you asked me before... About me being, b-being queen," I blushed once our eyes met, "I don't want to be your queen here." I watched his expression drop even more at my words.

"Yeah I get it Lucy, you don't want me." I sigh in frustration at his words. Using the small amount of energy I had left I lifted my right hand and touched his cheek, wiping away a small tear as I did so. Let me finish I thought as another jolt went through me.

"I want to be you princess at home, with all of our family." At my sudden actions Natsu blushed, but it soon faded once his attention turned to something else.

"Luce... You guild mark, it's faded."

Juvias POV
"Gray-Sama please, Levy said you didn't have enough magic energy to sustain a liveable body!" I shouted at my love as I tried to convert my magic into him.

"Juvia don't be an idiot, if I don't have enough magic than neither do you!" He tried to push me back.

"But Gray-Sama, J-Juvia needs you to be okay... Juvia loves you." I looked at him as I scrunched up my face, trying to blink back the waterfall of tears that travelled down my face.

"I love you, Juvia." I watched him smile as his guild mark began to fade, "you were my good fortune." I kneeled over him in shock as I watched him; his body becoming still and his breathing slowing down.

"What a shame, lover boys gone." Elliot?!

Erzas POV
I looked up at Jellal, the frustration and anguish in his eyes made me frown.

"Jellal, there isn't, there isn't anything you can do." I reached up to him, his cheek warm against my cold hand.

"It's not like you to give up so easily..." He whispered as he held my hand, pushing it closer to his cheek as he did.

"Who said I'm giving up?" I smile before my hand slithered to the back of his neck, my hand pulling his lips onto mine. I let him go and rest my forehead on his.

"I love you Erza." His eyes saddened at the seriousness of the situation.

"I'm sure your fiancé wouldn't be too happy to hear that," I giggled back before a wave of energy hit me. What's happening?!
