Ch 31:Normal, the truth and surrender

Okay,first of all ,it's not easy to be normal in abnormal situations.

We are sitting on the couch and Dad is walking around in tension.

"What is happening?" I ask.We are here from sometime and none of them has uttered a word.

"Actually...," Dad begins but trails off.

Amy sighs ,holds my hands and then speaks, "Mum ran away,".

" What do you mean by ran away ?"I ask shocked.

"We both were fighting and then she said she couldn't take it anymore and then stormed out," he stated.I have never seen Dad so worried.

"That doesn't mean 'ran away'" I say.

"Well,it does,when you don't pick up your cell after a hundred calls," she explains and shows me her phone.

"Should I try?" I ask.

"Don't bother," Dad says,he is acting weird.

I sigh and go out and call mum.

"Hello?" I say as she picks up.

"Hey,Stacey," she says from other end in slurry voice.

I rush to the door and signal Amy and Dad that she picked up.I turn on the speaker .

"Hey mum,what you're doing?" I ask and try to be as normal as possible.

"Clubbing," she sates and all of us gasp.

"What the heck?You and clubbing?" I ask.I mean ,really?

"No darling ,just kidding,just kidding.You got me," she says and cheers for me.

"What's that music coming from?" I ask suspiciously.

"Your mama's car got great speakers," she says in a weird funny way.

"Come back Theresa," dad whispered.

"Dear ,what happened to your voice?" She asks in a sing song voice .

"What happened to yours?" I ask.She does sound drunk.Who am I kidding?She is drunk.

"You know four bottles down," she says.

"Mum,where are you?" Amy asks restless.

"I don't know?" She answers.

"Mum just ask someone around you," Amy tries.

"No," she answers.

"Well then ,just be there I and dad are on our way," Amy says.

"Byeee,be here soon," she cooed.

I hung up.

"Stace stay here,I will track her down and bring her," Amy says and they both leave immediately.

I just hope she is okay.I mean ,who runs away like this.

Well now that I have no one with me ,I can calmly think about the transfer.

Let's see, can I go somewhere else leaving my nest memories behind.Nah,don't think so.

But I can't be selfish,mum and dad's job are on stake.

And they won't let me be here all by myself.But ,that's what dorms are for, right?

I still cannot get my head clear and think straight. It's all a big mess.

I get a text and I see what it is.

Where are you?We finished and Kia and I are back together and she admitted she was just faking it.Thank you soooooo×10000000 much.And remember, if you want to talk I am there for you,we all are.Especially ,Louis.-Haz
