"No,"

"C'mon,"

"I said no,"

"But-"

"I am NOT going to help you prey on another innocent girl," I rolled my eyes as I placed a bowl of tator tots on my tray.

Dylan followed me close behind. Per usual we were on our way to our lunch table, and per usual Dylan had to inform me about his next target. No matter how much I whined & complained, he insisted on telling me all the time.

Dylan was a cliche author's wet dream. A tall handsome, charming, high school athlete with only one thing on his mind when it came to girls. He had his pick of any girl he wanted in school. He was the perfect amount of player without over-doing it, depending on who you asked. In my opinion it was annoying.

I sat down at the round table ignoring the ramblings coming from Dylan. Students were pouring into the lunch room in herds. Those who were already inside were either eating lunch or catching up on the latest gossip. Voices echoed off of the walls, filling the room with noise and yet it wasn't enough to cancel out Dylan's voice.

"Why won't you do this for me?" He asked sitting in the seat across from me.

I shook my head before throwing him the most sarcastic look I could muster up. "Why, oh why, would I want to help you prey on another poor girl?"

"Because Alyssa is oh so perfect," he grabbed a tot off my plate and placed it in his mouth. "And because you love me & want the best for me,"

"And the best means smashing her?" I raised my brow.

He nodded stealing another tot. "What else am I going to do with her?"

"Oh my God you're disgusting,"

"I heard disgusting so we must be talking about the infamous Dylan," I looked up to find Sydney pulling out a chair at the table.

A sarcastic smile was plastered on my best friend's face as she looked at Dylan. She hated Dylan as much as a three year old hates broccoli. For as long as I can remember, she despised him. If she had anything to say about it she would never have to associate herself with him, but as my only true female friend she didn't have a choice. Not to mention, I had known him longer than I had known her. I wasn't getting rid of my childhood best friend because of bad chemistry with my other friend.

Dylan let out an exaggerated groan. "Who decided to let you out of your coffin this morning? Please tell me so I can make sure they never do it again,"

The brunette scowled. If looks could kill her hazel eyes would have put him six feet under. "You disgust me,"

"You want me," he winked.

"I'd rather choke on my own vomit,"

"Or you could choke on-"

She slammed her hands on the table, interrupting him. Her nostrils flared as she stood up, glaring down at him. A few students looked in our direction. I tested my hand against my cheek as I stared at the two. Sad to say this was normal.

"Go on say it. I dare you. Give me a reason," she commanded.

"Oh you'd love that wouldn't you," ego dripping from his voice.

She let out a frustrated scream. She snapped her neck in my direction. "Bri why are you friends with this egotistical asshole?!"

Dylan threw his arm over my shoulder and pulled me closer to him. He flashed her one of his award winning smiles. "Because she loves me more than you,"
