Dylan POV

I leaned against my car in the school parking lot. Shades on with a hot pocket in my hand. Tradition after a good night.

Everyone was looking for a way to kill time before school started. Talking about the latest gossip. Finishing last minute assignments. Making last minute plans. Everyone was getting things done before the dreaded bell rang and sent us to another boring day.

I on the other hand had another goal in mind.

Today would be the first day I laid the ground work for Alyssa. I couldn't approach her the same way I approached anyone else. Alyssa was attractive and she knew it. Easily one of the sexist girls in school. She wouldn't fall for anything easily. She'd been hit on by almost everyone. She would see my coming from a mile away. This was going to take strategy, which would make succeeding even better than all the rest.

"I don't know how you're going to pull this off," Josh spoke.

He was leaning against the car beside me waiting to see me put my plan into action. He didn't think I could do it. He didn't think I'd be anything different from all the other guys she's turned down. He obviously didn't know me very well.

"Just watch the pro work his magic," I calmly replied.

I took a bite out of my hot pocket just as I saw Brielle approaching out of the corner of my eye. Of course she would be here now. She hated that I slept around but she would never admit even she thought how I got things done was interesting. Thankfully I didn't see Sydney with her.

"Shades and a hot pocket. I'm guessing Paige had a good night," she noted.

I only smirked in reply. Paige had a very good night. Whenever I gave her the opportunity, she did everything she could to make me happy. At least everything she thought would make me happy.

I'm not interested in Paige as a girlfriend. I'm not interested in any of the girls I sleep with. They're shallow. They don't actually know me or want to know me. They just want to say they've had me, and were the one girl that could get me to commit. Its about them, though they won't admit it. So why should I commit to someone that's not in for me. They offer me what I want and I take it. Simple.

"At least start sharing the hot pockets with her," she grabbed the food out of my hand and took a bite.

I chuckled. "Then what would I share with you?"

She nodded her head. "You know what, that's true," her mouth full.

I reached for the food but she pulled it out of my reach in protest. She took another bite. Her cheeks now looking like a squirrels. Adorable.

She swallowed her food. "You don't deserve this. You got your reward last night in the back of your car,"

"It was in car!" Josh spoke up. He held his fist out to me as he nodded in approval.

I pounded it as I laughed. "It wasn't in the car,"

"You're going after Alyssa and you have Paige in your back pocket. I want to be like you when I grow up,"

"Oh," she wiped the corner of her mouth, looking at Josh. "You're going to grow up. Damn. I'm out of 10 bucks,"

I couldn't help but to laugh as Josh gave her a slow clap. Only she could say something like that. I pretended to wipe my eye as a looked at him. He punched me in my shoulder lightly.

"Oh speak of the devil," she nodded her head towards the school.

I looked over to find Paige with a few of her friends in tow walking towards us. I remained unfazed. Her blonde hair was pulled into a high ponytail, her bangs straightened perfectly. She had on pink lipstick to match her pink blouse that had a few buttons undone. Her grey skirt surprisingly reached her knees. Subtle.
