I knew I wasnt good enough...

All day, I was looking forward to Jake and I going to get food, and finally it was time to go meet him, so I went to my locker.
I threw all my stuff in there, then closed it and leaned against it scanning the wall for him.
"Hey Addy",I heard some scream happily as they ran down the hall, so I turned and saw Trigger running at me.
"Hey man what are you so happy abo-OH MY GOD", I laughed as he picked me up and spun me around then he finally set me back down.
"I GOT AN A ON MY TEST THANKS TO YOU THANK YOU BEST FRIEND!!!",he laughed happily and picked me up again, so i laughed and hugged him back.

"No problem best friend", I laughed as we let each other go.
He started putting his stuff away in his backpack and I don't know how he looked so damn good, just doing that, but he did.
I sighed and shook my head then scanned the hallway once more.
"Where the hell is he?", I muttered.
"Who Jacob?",he asked.
"Yea, he said he'd meet me here at my locker at 3:00, it's now 3:30", I shook my head."I'm gunna go see if he's at his locker, wanna go?"
"Yea sure", he said, then he slung his bag over his shoulder and walked beside me.

"How do you think Chris did?",I asked looking around for Jake before turning back to Trigger.
 "Well, why don't we go see?",he said as he pointed up the hall, so I looked where he was pointing, and I saw Chris standing there staring at a some paper his teacher put up on the door.
"Hey Chris what'd you get?", I asked and looked over his shoulder.
"Awww god",Chris said and leaned on the lockers behind him.
"How bad?",Trigger said.
"Th-the worst!!A "C"!!", he said.
"A "C?"",Trigger and I repeated.
"A "C!"I-I am dead meat!I am, sitting on a rock, rotting in the sun, flies are like gathering around me",Chris said as he walked down the hall."I am dead. Meat."

I leaned on Triggers shoulder and looked at his name then saw he damn sure did get a "C".
Oooo dad's gunna kick his ass.
"Dammit man", I shook my head, then I followed him down the hall.
"What?!For a "C"?!My dad would give me his porno collection if I got a "C",Trigger called as he ran after us which caused me to look back at him and give him a look, to this he just laughed.
"Don't worry about it, we'll fix it", I said and nudged him.
"Oh yea?And how's that Addy?And Dad not find out?",Chris groaned and ran a hand down his face.
"Don't know by now I got friends who can hack into the grading system and fix grades?", I said and he looked at me."Yeaaa, I know people buddy-come on I gotta go this way to meet up with Jake."
"Oh yes, the asshole who stood up my sister for a week, just who I wanna see",Chris rolled his eyes and I laughed.
"Your too over protective big brother", I said.

"Yea she's right, that's my job",Trigger said and hook his arm around my neck, then he laughed and let me go.
The entire way there, I kept getting looks from people, and I did'nt know why, but I kept walkin towards B hall where his locker was.
The boys were behind me talking about something, I was'nt paying attention, but then I turned the corner and there was the row of lockers where Jakes was, and there was Jake making out with some chick, pressed up against his locker.
I stopped in my tracks,making the guys run into my back but I did'nt turn around.
"Jesus Addy, what the hell are yo...",Chris trailed off and then he saw what I was looking at.
"Ad..",Trigger said as he put his hand on my shoulder and I nodded my head as I backed up.

"Well", I said as the guys watched me back up more and I waved my hand around before hitting my thigh with it."Aint that a kick in the teeth."
And with that, I turned and speed walked the other way down the hall as tears ran down my face.
"Addy!!Wait up!!",Trigger yelled as him and Chris followed me.
I should've known I was'nt good enough for him.
"Ad-"
"Don't touch me Chris", I growled as I ripped my arm out of his reach and shoved the double doors open running outside to the parking lot with them still running after me.

I quickly found my car amung the others, my silver jeep with no top, then I dug out my keys from my pocket and threw them at Chris.
"Here, I don't feel like driving",I growled then I hopped up and sat in the backseat while Trigger and Chris got in as well.
The entire ride home, I did'nt say anything, but I could feel them looking at me in the rearview mirror.
I sniffled and angrily wiped my tears away for what felt like the hundredth time, and then once we got home, I jumped out not saying anything to either of them, ran inside, to my room and slammed the door.
Throwing my bag to the floor, I kicked it then put my back to the door and slid down it, pulling my knees to my chest and then I busted out sobbing.

What did I do?
Did I not do enough for him??
Was I just not good enough?
A thousand thoughts ran through my head and then there was a knock at the door, but it was a regular knock so I knew it was Chris.
"Go away", I choked out, then I heard him sigh.
"Ad, come on please let us in?",he said.
"NO!GO AWAY!!", I cried and hit the door.
He stood there a few more seconds, then I heard him go in his room right next to mine and closed the door, then a few seconds later, I heard the front door open and close which meant Trigger had left as well.

I did'nt wanna see anybody right now.
I got up, and crawled into bed, covering myself up with my blankets and pillows, and I hid, and I cried forever.
At least I planned to, until about an hour later, I heard someone walk up to my door quietly, then I heard him knock twice, wait a second then knock again and he came in.
"Addy?",he whispered, but I knew who it was even though I had my face covered up by the blankets."Addy!"
I heard him walk to the end of the bed, and I uncovered my face a little to see he had about 20 stuffed animals in his arms and my heart melted as I sat up.
"What...where..", I shook my head as I looked at him.

"I could'nt think of any other way to cheer you up, so I grabbed every stuffed animal I saw",he shrugged and stuffed his hands in his pockets.
I sniffed again as I grabbed a bear and hugged it.
"You know me so well", I said, wanting to smile, then he sat down on the bed in front of me.
"Addy, please don't cry anymore-your too pretty to cry", he said as he gently grabbed both sides of my face and wiped under my eyes with his thumbs then let me go.
"I just don't get it though", I shook my head as tears welled up in my eyes again.
"You don't need to", he said shaking his head as well and scooting closer."He does'nt deserve you. He never did. He did'nt treat you like the princess you are. Your too gorgeous, and pretty, and smart, and amazing, and he did'nt see it-so therefore it's his loss."

I looked up at him with tears in my eyes from everything he just said.
"And Im not just saying that because I'm your best friend...I mean it",he said.
"I know you do",I said and wiped my eyes again.
"Ok good-now come on-get up-get dressed we're gunna go places",he said as he lightly slapped my thigh and stood up, making me groan and fall back onto my bed again, covering my face with a pillow.
"Come onnnn", he dragged out and grabbed my leg trying to pull me off the bed, but I clung to the side.
"Addy!!"
"UGHGHHH."

"Ad."
"UUUGHGHHH"
"If you don't get up, you won't get your surprise", he said.

I ripped the covers off my face, then saw him smirking at me while he curled his finger for me to get up, so I groaned again then sat up, looking up at him through my eyelashes.
"Ok, you made me get up from my comfy bed now what was my surprise?", I laughed and crossed my arms.
I watched as he reached in his pocket, then he pulled out $20 bucks and held it up.
"$20 bucks?",  I said confused.
"Uh huh, but its not just 20 bucks, it's 20 bucks that says "let's go buy like 4 things of pizza and whatever other junk food we want"', he smirked.
I looked up at me, then tried not to smiled, but I failed because he started smiling as well.
"Your the best", I laughed as I threw my arms around his neck and he hugged me back as I buried my face in his shoulder.
"I know I try", he mumbled back into my shoulder, then we let each other go and I looked up at him to see he was staring at me with those gorgeous green eyes.

"What?", I whispered, and he just shook his head.
"N-Nothin",he said as he shook his head, then smiled almost like he was zoned out."Anyway, get ready and meet me downstairs in 5."
And with that, he turned and walked to the door, winking before he closed it and walked out.
I smiled to myself, then turned around and looked at all the five million stuffed animals he got me...
I have the bestest friend in the entire world.
