"Do you ever strain your eyes from gazing at yourself in the mirror for so long?" I looked up at (y/n). "Do you ever strain your jaw from talking so much?" She snickered. "Get out of bed and do something." "Why? We were doing something fun in bed just a few minutes ago. We could do it again." She laughed. "Yeah, after I walk my hips back into place." I smirked. "Fine. And what is it that you want to do in this manic, obnoxious suck-siety today?" "You have such a way with words. Let's go for a walk." I cringed. "A walk?" I repeated. "Like moving my legs to move around? Excercise?" I looked outside. "And it's fucking sunny?" "Sounds nice, right?" "Sorry, but I'd rather die." I said, falling back. "Well, you can't die. Come on, get up. It won't be so bad. Say we just go around the block twice or something?" I snarled at her. "Up." she said. I sighed and got out of bed. "Fine. Let's make this quick." I said. "That's the spirit." (y/n) chirped. I let her drag me all the way out to the sidewalk. "Shit almighty it's fucking hot." I muttered following her. "You always look so pissy when you're outside." "I hate it out here." "Why?" "Why not?" she shrugged. "You might meet someone nice today." I rolled my eyes. "So?" I kept up my pace, keeping up with her, wearing my mood on my face perfectly well. My ears ringing is the only thing that snapped me out of my pace. "What's the matter?" (y/n) asked, noticing my issue. "I'm near another demon up here. It makes my ears ring." "Point them out." (y/n) replied. I looked around and saw her. "Look dead ahead." I said. (Y/N) looked ahead and then back at me. "What the hell? You're like identical twins or something." I thought the same thing. "You sure you're not? I mean you were pretty adamant about not having a mom and we see how that worked out." "Please, if she was, I'd know. She isn't...she just looks damn good." "You're saying that because she looks like you." (Y/N) teased. "Alright, that's part of it." I admitted. "Look, I think I'll take a closer look. Just...wait here...or something." I departed quickly and tore after my 'twin.' She rubbed at her ear when I got close. She shot me a sideways look. "So it's you." she said. I studied her. "Are you gonna talk to me or stare at me?" "Both." She didn't look too amused. Oddly enough, she didn't seem interested in me either. "So...you don't look much younger or older than me. Why haven't we met until now?" "I came up here a long, long time ago. Now if you'll excuse me, I have places to be." I stepped back. "You never told me your name." "Hadesia, but call me Hades. You?" "You can call me Dark." She looked me up and down. "Well, for what it's worth it IS nice to meet someone who looks as good as me." "Tell me about it." She cracked a hint of a smile. "I think my stuff can wait. I wanna get to know you a bit." Success. "Sure." I looked over at (y/n). She understood and started walking to her home. I felt a bit bad, but it's not like I'll never see her again. "Come on." I said, walking with my twin. She followed me silently, her hair blowing in the wind. "Where are you from?" she asked me after a period of silence. "The City of Embers." She seemed surprised. "That's the largest city there is out there." "Yeah, it's definitely a huge city." I replied. "Where are you from?" "Isle of Death." she said, not sounding too comfortable. "The islands are nice." I replied. "Not as nice as the City of Embers. What's it like?" "Like LA, but far better...and bigger. I dunno...maybe we should go down there some time." She looked at me. "You'd really take me there?" I shrugged. "It's not that big of a deal. It's just a city." "Nah, it's the biggest...and brightest. I always wanted to go, but I never wanted to go alone." "Alright, let's go." I said. "Seriously?" "Yep. It'll be nice to go back down there for a moment." I led her to my place and together we made the jump. "Take in downtown." I said, casually strolling alongside my new friend who was beyond amazed. "This is amazing." she said. "It's home." I replied, kicking a rock. "Why the hell would you leave this place?" A rock sailed past my head. I growled. "I left because I got bored...and I don't come back much because idiots throw shit at me." "Why?" "I'm not like them anymore." She understood. "No one has ever treated me like this." "On the Isle of Death? Yeah, no surprise...there's maybe 50 demons living there. No diversity, and it's a private place." She admitted I was right. We continued our walk. "I should've come here sooner." Hades said. "Well, sorry we didn't meet sooner." "Do you...do you keep a place down here?" She asked, blushing. "Well...kinda. I have a friend who does. Wanna go?" I didn't have to ask her twice. Circe won't mind. It won't be the first time I've had some fun in her room, and I don't expect it to be the last. "You seem a lot like me." I said. "Don't you fucking wish." "See? That's what I mean. That's something I'd say." She looked at me, sitting on the couch. "You trying to figure something out?" she asked. "Yeah. Where you came from." I replied. "I came from the same place you did." "I highly doubt that." I replied. She cocked her head. "It's quite the story. Maybe I'll tell you another time." She seemed interested. "Alright." she replied. I held my hand up to hers, and we shared a look. "Alright, this is strange." she admitted. "They say everyone has a lookalike...but mine has tits. I'm not complaining." she laughed. "You are a lot like me." What we didn't share in looks we made up for in personality. She's sarcastic, mean, cynical, and perverted. "I think I just made a new friend." I said, not breaking our little staring contest. "Best friend." she corrected. "That could be." She smiled. I studied her. Her light orange eyes, coated in a fine layer of black makeup. Her half smile, the one that mimicked mine perfectly. Her short, but longer than mine jet black hair, and her perfect body. "This is so trippy." I said, touching her face. She laid her face against the palm of my hand. "So...if we're really alike, you must want to jump on that bed with me." I teased. She picked her head up and gave me a look that made shivers run down my spine. She pinned me against the wall seconds later, just like I did to (y/n)...and everyone else. I've let others take charge before, but I wasn't allowing her to do anything. She was stronger than me. "Not too bad." she said, breaking the kiss. I just stood there like an idiot, not responding. "I get that a lot." she said, pulling me by my shirt. I went to undress her, but she was already halfway done. "Jesus." I muttered. "Oh...you haven't seen anything yet." she replied, all but tossing me onto my back. She wasted no time ripping my pants off and straddling me. My entire body chilled and I stared up at her, awestruck. She ran a single finger down my chest slowly. "You know, this might be a bit strange...but I like it. I really like the way you're breathing." Oh god, if I had a dollar for every time I said that...or made someone say that...she dropped her weight onto me and it was on. I growled her name and absorbed the feeling of her body intertwined with mine. It was just like I imagined the first time I saw her. She matched my skills move for move. I grit my teeth and tried not to finish too soon, but she was sucking me into her, forcing me to do what she wanted, holding me down, scratching my chest until I bled, cursing at me, begging for more...taking me to Hades and making me love it. The intensity and the magnitude made me loathe the fact that before too long this amazing moment would be over. I just wanted her to stay on top and keep rolling her figure on me. I breathed out her name one last time and let her finish me. "Giving up on me?" she moaned as she leaned down to kiss me aggressively. "I guess no one is perfect." Ouch. My ego. I watched her twist and turn on me until she hit a release that almost made me hit another. She caught her breath and I watched her intently. "Quit staring at me." she said, covering my face with a pillow. I pushed it away and kept looking at her. "What?" she asked, playfully. "Nothing...I just...I forget." Smooth. I hate the idea of dating, but...I'm considering making an exception for her. "It wouldn't work out." her comment snapped me back to reality. "Huh?" "I can read minds, remember? I'm not human. It wouldn't work. I hate dating." God she's perfect. "So do I, but...being with you would be like dating myself, and if there's something I love, it's me." "I love me, too. But...listen, I really can't...I just don't do that. I know you understand." I blushed a bit, feeling stupid. "It was a dumb fleeting thought, Hadesia, forget it ever happened." "It's Hades, Dark." "It's Arioch, Hades." She cocked her head in confusion. An expression of disgust soon crossed her features. "Wait a minute...I know you." she said. "How? I certainly don't know you. I'd remember you if I did." "It doesn't matter." she said, quickly. "I've gotta go...thanks for...this." I sat up. "Wait a second, if you know me, I wanna know how. This doesn't make sense." "It's not important." "Yeah, it kinda is." She looked at me. "You're that guy I'll never forget nor forgive." She looked almost tearful. I racked my brain trying to remember her. "If this is supposed to be a joke, it isn't funny...trust me I know funny, I'm fucking hilarious. What's the matter?" she dressed in silence. "What did I do to you?" "What didn't you do to me? What didn't you do to everyone I cared about?" Conflict. We obviously had a conflict of sorts. "You and I may be cut from the same cloth, but you chased me into isolation thousands of years ago. Had I known you were you..." Chased her into isolation? What the hell? "Just tell me what the fuck you're talking about. I'm lost." "You were lost, but I just had to find you." she said sarcastically. I just sat there in stunned silence. "What did I do?" I asked, growing frustrated. It was too late though, she was gone. What a fucking day. Only me.
