Shattered hearts build walls to protect themselves. They are afraid of opening themselves to those people who are around them because they think that those people will eventually leave and break their already shattered heart into smallest pieces it can break.
But deep inside, they know they needed a friend who will understand them. With all the sincerities it can give. They want someone who can hear all the small cries in their deepest thoughts.
