The next morning, a shrill scream awoke the people sleeping in Phantomhive manor.

Dr. Arthur and Ciel both sat straight up in the bed that they had been forced to share. They shared a quick glance before Dr. Arthur began to scramble for the key that Mr. Grey had given him. He pulled the chain from around his neck and undid the cuffs.

As soon as they were free, the pair ran to where the scream had came from. The other guests were already there.

Ciel could hear their voices ad he sprinted down the hallway, what they were saying made Ciel want to be sick.

"What are we going to do now?"

All eyes were on Ciel as he dropped to his knees next Sebastian. He picked up the Butler's gloved hand and shook slightly.

"Sebastian please wake up," Ciel pleaded, with feigned sorrow and desperation. "Please wake up. You can't leave me alone."

Ciel could hear some of the guests whispering about him and how unusual a reaction it was. But before he could defend himself, Tonaka spoke up and explained that Sebastian and Ciel had been friends as well as master and servant. This statement had shut them up.

Even though Ciel knew what was going to happen, he could not cope with seeing his Butler's dead eyes. As gently as he could manage, Ciel slid Sebastian's eyes closed.

Ciel quickly stood up and turned to his guests and servants. Many of them being startled by his movement.

"Finny, fashion a stretcher and bring Sebastian down to cellar by Heir von Siemens. You all," he turned to the guests after giving the orders, "gather in the drawing room, and we will decide what to do next."

Ciel walked silently back to his chambers to dress. In order to keep up his performance of grief, he wore all black. The guests must believe that he was mourning the death of his friend. Little did they know...
