Chapter 21

Nini POV

They need to know they have a right to know as her parents I thought to myself. I looked at them and saw concern and confusion. Then I datrted to talk.

"Shes been in foster homes for years now she's not used to a family. She never had one I am the closest thing to family she has. They seprated us but we always found eachother. Your daughter is a run away child. She always runs away. After a while a family came and took her claiming to be her real family. She was so happy but after a while that happiness was gone. She wasn't moved far from where she was so we were always together. One day she came to school hurt and abused. She told me she ran and after a while sje went back because she didn't know where else to go. I gave her a phone and they broke it when I told her to make a run and ill keep her safe." By the time I said half of this everyone was in tears.

" I once hid in the house to sew for myself what was going on. She didn't know what I was gonna do. I even called the cops and they did nothing. So they moved and they tried to keep us apart but they couldn't. Her own family hates me and hated her to that abused her physically, mentally and emotionally. Shes broken in a million pieces. She feels so alone she thinks you guys will do the same thing to her as her other family thats why she ran when she saw you fighting with her brother about her she just ran". I said in tears.

Her mother looked at me and said "we would never do that to her. We love her and hope to reconnect our family. We were broken without her and so was Marianyeli. She would barely eat or even talk not even her boyfriend could help she just didn't want to deal with anyone. She would cry herself to sleep. When we first told her anout her sister she was happy she had one but telling her that we didn't know where she was heart breaking." Her mother said

"I miss my sister and I want her here in my life she's my twin I just want to know she's okay" Marianyeli said.

I looked at her and told her "she's okay she's safe just give her time and she will come around shes wants to be here but she needs time to heal amd wrap her head around this you might have pushed this a little to far on her with the whole family reunion. I said

"She told us she was okay with it" her father said. "She said that to keep you happy she thought she was ready to meet her family but I guess she wasn't"
