Christopher's POV:
The moonlight covers the earth like a blanket, stairs come out and slowly decorate the dawn sky as I lay in my bed. I sigh and turn my head to my half-packed bag. I sit up then get out of bed to finish packing. I look over at my phone, it buzzes a few times. It turns on then slowly turns off as a text message gets delivered, I pick it up to see Raelin texted me.
Raelin: Hey, you ready to go?
I smile at my phone screen, she has always had perfect timing with texting me or calling me. I start to text back.
Christopher: Yes, I'll be there soon to pick you up. I have to pack a few more things.
Raelin: Okay, I'll be waiting.
I put my phone on my nightstand and put the last things in my bag. I pick up my bag and grab my phone. I make sure to turn off all my lights then grab my keys. I walk out of my house then lock the door behind me. I check the time, "6:00am a little early but it's fine." I say to myself as I walk to my car.
Raelin's POV:
I sit patiently on the porch with my bag sitting next to me. As I wait for Christopher I look back at my locked house and starred into the pitch black house. I few minutes of silence creeps up on me, when I hear muffled music coming from the distance. I smile a little as Christopher pulls up, he gets out of the car and walks up to me. I get up and smile at him as he takes one of my bags. I put the other bag with the rest of them as Christopher puts my other bag on the car floor. I get in the passenger seat and close the door. The time was 6:49 am, we had a 37 hour drive. "It will take us a day in a half if we don't stop." Christopher says as he gets comfortable and starts to back up out of my driveway.
