Mom drove me to school. I gazed out the window, my headphones blasting. Mercy Falls was very ordinary. Nothing caught my attention. Someone tapped my shoulder. It was mom. I lowered my volume. "Ariella, we're reaching the school, get ready." She said, never taking her eyes off the road. As she drove, the school came into view. A very large building of crimson brick. Very old fashioned. I noticed many students walking in groups. 'Great. Everybody's buddies with each other' I rolled my eyes. Grabbing my backpack as mom pulled up to the curb. "Have a nice day" she gleamed. "Yeah right" I scoffed. I was about to climb out of the car when- "just try to make some friends ok?" Mom said with a gentle smile, her straight red bangs falling in her face. I sighed, "I'll try" she hopped in her car seat "yayayayayay!" she exclaimed. "Ok, I don't know you" I laughed as I exited the tan pathfinder. Mom drove away. I sighed and walked into the school. I took out my headphones. The commotion was too loud, I couldn't hear my music and I didn't feel like going deaf. I looked around, a group of girls dressed in clothes too small for them, were looking at me. Talking and laughing. "Ugh. Trolls" I said to myself. "Who are trolls?" A male voice questioned. I turned to see a tall brown-haired male with strange golden eyes staring into my blue ones. My black hair flew as I turned to look at the girls. "Oh them... Yea they're bitches. Everyone calls them "The Clique". Though personally "Bitches" would work just fine." He smirked. He unzipped his red jacket to reveal a black tee. He removed his jacket and handed it to me. "Hold this for a sec" he stated. I blinked a few times then accepted his request. He started digging through his backpack. A particular smell was emitting off his jacket. Unintentionally, I put my nose to the fabric and took a deep breath. It smelled like the woods. Why would it? The only wood I've seen are where I live and the only thing in it are wolves. "Uh... Why are you smelling my jacket?" He laughed. Out of instinct, I threw it at him. "Gah! I-I..." I stuttered all flustered. I could feel my cheeks burn. He merely laughed. "It's fine. Here. It's a bit cold for that outfit, dontcha think?" He handed me his jacket that I carelessly flung at his face moments ago. I looked down at what I was wearing, and smacked my forehead. It was the same outfit I was wearing yesterday. "At least you look good" He joked. Now my whole face burned. Maybe I could breathe fire like the dragon I am. The bell rang like a siren. "I'll see you later." He said running off. "Wait! Your jacket!" I yelled. "Keep it! I don't need it." He yelled back. I ran after him hoping to catch up. "I don't even know your name!" I said. "All the more reason to meet again!" He said. Then disappeared into the ocean of students. He's so mysterious, yet elegant. A lot like... A wolf.

A/N I just wanted to say, what Ariella means by "the dragon I am" she means it metaphorically. Like how she's so different and she seems to stand out. A vey rare breed, implying how she left her friends, that makes her feel like she's different. Ok hope you're enjoying the story!! (She said to no one reading ;-;)
