[25] epilogue

Narrator's POV

Kayla and Nathan were in the kitchen with their cat and dog.

Kayla was cooking breakfast for the two of them. She was making scrambled eggs, pancakes, and bacon.

Nathan on the other hand, was making food for their dog and cat. They enjoy making their pets' food in a special way, so they will eat more of it.

Nathan finishes making the pets food, and he puts the two bowls down next to the screen door that leads to their backyard.

Kayla also got done with their meal, so she served it onto two plates for them.

Once she was done serving them, she put her pots and utensils in the sink for her to wash later.

Once she was done with that, she heard a ringing from upstairs.

Kayla runs upstairs to see what the noise was, and it was a call on their computer.

She answered the call, and there on their computer was the whole Cube squad plus Aubree and April.

"Nathan! Get up here!" Kayla yelled downstairs.

Nathan ran up the stairs, worried. He was then greeted by lovely faces.

Everyone said hi to them.

"Hey guys! How have you been?" Nathan asked no one in particular.

There was a collection of responses.

Nathan and Kayla called their friends until it was about midnight, and by then, it was time to hang up.

"K guys, I think it is time we hit the hay." Kayla said to the call with a chuckle.

She got a collection of responses.

"We have to get together soon though. A reunion!" Nathan exclaimed happily.

They were excited, because they wanted it to happen soon.

Then, after discussing other things, Kayla and Nathan decided to go to bed.

"I wonder how it would be like if I never met Nathan..." Kayla said to herself, while Nathan was sleeping soundly next to her.

"Well, anyways, I'm so glad that he is now mine." She said, and with that she drifted to sleep.

April's Life

April was in the kitchen preparing some snacks for Will because he has been outside working all day.

He had been gardening and making their backyard look lovely.

She put the snacks outside for Will to eat, and she went back inside.

She then rushed over to the cage they have for their pet chinchilla.

She grabbed some food for her, and put it in her cage. Right away, she started eating.

"Oh Luna! You were hungry huh?" April asked rhetorically.

April then went over to the fish tank that they have. She picked up the fish flakes near the tank, and she poured some inside for them to eat.

April then heard a ringing sensation coming from the other side of their house.

She walks into their computer room, and she notices that someone is calling her.
