We started our journey at around 10am. We all packed our afternoon lunch and evening snacks. We are ready with 6 different varieties of snacks and varieties of lunch items which was prepared and packed by our parents.
Our car is moving with a speed of 60km/hr , we reached Karkala which was the former Taluk of Dakshina kannada district. We made sure that we have enough fuel for our journey. Slowly we are reaching Agumbe Ghat , this is my favourite place. Agumbe is called as the "Cherrapunji of the South". It falls in the malnad region of Karnataka. It's an evergreen rain forest. We just crossed the first hairpin curve. My two eyes are struggling to catch all the greenery which is surrounded either side of road. Tall trees with lush green leaves, herbs , shrubs, what a galvanising scenery!!. Our vehicle is slowly moving further and we could sense the smell of rain, and could hear the "tip tip" water dripping sound from the tall trees. Sun rays are trying to pierce through the tree branches and trying to kiss the dews. It looks like our Mother Earth is wearing pearls with her green sari . Dews touched by Sunrays looked like shining diamond. We entered a different world, an innocent and calm world.
As our vehicle moving slowly we were enjoying the each moment of our nature. On the right side I could see monkey troops, they are jumping from one tree to another tree , playing and few of the monkeys are waiting near the road to pick up some eatables by travellers. Their innocent look makes any cruel person to calm down. On the left side I could see clouds romancing with their astonishing look. It feels like we are in heaven. As we go further it started raining heavily and with in a minute everything looked hazy. It's a pin drop silence. No words , no sound , only we could hear is the sound of rain "tip tip tip". Suddenly our vehicle stopped and we are shocked and worried.. what happened..?? What happened???
Oh it's a tea break. Wait.. I will have my tea with some biscuits. It will be nice to have hot tea and biscuits in this chilly weather. Yes, we finished our minute break and started. Now we almost reached the place where we can see sunset. But it's a lunch time and we could not see sun, how can we see him ?! he is trapped between lovely ladies .. clouds. Well, we finished our lunch and parked our vehicle in the small parking space. We wanted to see the fall of sun below horizon. While my friends taking a small nap , I got out of the vehicle and tried to explore the surrounding. I could see these monkeys eating leftover food which was thrown by some tourist. Along with the food he was swallowing plastic. As I was turned other side , plenty of plastics started staring at me with an indigestible look. Somewhere on the corner of my brain questioning me " why am I not helping the nature?" ,"Why am I ignoring the things which is happening around me?" And I had no answer for this. I have been cleaning my house and throwing the dust outside, but I never thought about our nature. I realised that as we clean our house, we should keep our nature clean. We remember to take something but forget to return it.
Hmmm.. it's almost 6pm. We are ready for the sunset. All of us gathered in the spot where we can see the sunset. It's an implausible moment to see the sky.
Sky is covered with variety of colours. The entire sky is dispersed with saffron. Clouds are reflecting the paling sun's orange and red glow. The blue colour of of the sky gave extraordinary look for the sun. For a moment it felt like the sun is proposing the earth with his gorgeous look. All the birds , plants, animals were eagerly looking at sun and the earth. Birds melodious voice , baby bucks innocent cry, trees canorous music, chattering of monkeys, bellowing of bulls , all made the occasion beautiful.
We have been waiting for the acceptance of the proposal by sun. It is about to happen, we kept our eyes wide open to not to miss single a moment. Oops..it wasn't expected, a giant cloud couldn't tolerate this, and she swallowed our beautiful Sun. We were waiting for the sunset but this giant cloud disappointed us. And we dispersed from the spot and had some light snacks and tea then we started our journey towards theerthahalli.Continues...
