Chapter 3

Thelma's pov

"Ryan please let me deal with his sorry ass" Zack had the guts to shout at Ryan, I don't care who he is but he demanded that Ryan should bring his coffee and he ends up shouting at him.

"Please Talimah it was nothing" I'm sure he regrets telling me what happened but I don't care and it's too late. That guy really should get some manners.

"Excuse me Zack or whatever you call your self, I don't care if you might be a special customer or whatever but you have no right to shout at Ryan over your mistake" I said, anger boiling within me.
Why is he not answering me, is this guy trying to snub me.

"Hello! I'm talking to you, Mr. Zack" I almost screamed. I was breathing hard now. His friend stands to calm me down looking like I've caused a scene. Everybody in the shop were all looking at me with awe. Guess I shouted at their mighty "ZACK"

"What's going on here, Talimah?"
I think I froze at that moment when I heard Mr. Rico behind me. "I'm very sorry Mr. Zack for her misbehavior, Talimah meet me in my office!" God help me.

"It's not even been up to one day and you're causing trouble already"
"I'm sorry sir, I promise it won't happen again".

5 hours later....

"Whatever, I just don't want this to repeat itself, you may leave" he looked disappointed. But what could I do, that arrogant nut head had to get on my nerves.

Later that day...

Throwing my self on the small bed, I sighed loudly. Its been a long and stressful day. I was able to get a small, local hotel downtown, it wasn't expensive.

I guess I'll have to look for other partime work to do to be able to feed myself.

I feel miserable for what I did at the cafe, I really don't know what made me get all mad and grumpy, well the deed has been done, I can't turn back time.
Suddenly I am distracted from my thoughts by the knock on the door....

"Thanks" I say to the pizza guy. I had ordered pizza.
I quickly munch on the pizza leaving no piece left...I guess I was really hungry.

" Hey grumpy pants, you came in early" Ryan asked looking amazed. This is my 4th week working in the cafe and I've always been known as a late person but due to Mr.Rico's kind nature. "Good morning to you too" I said sarcastically.

Well I just wanna work today, read and prepare for another day of lecture. Its been really hard working and getting home late to read overnight, 3 hours of sleep then it goes on and on like that.

I quickly go for the orders of the customers in the shop, people didn't come in much today since its a Friday, they'll be thinking about the club.

After serving all the customers I'm left with nothing to do so I just chat a little with Ryan, nothing much.
Later some few customers came in and I serve them and leave the shop since my time is over.

I'm walking by the side walk to the hotel since I have no friends or anything to do but I'm getting scared by the black car following me all around. This has been happening for a week now and I don't know what to do.

I wait and turn back to wait for the car, it stops when it sees me staring at it. It opens to reveal a short round, fat man heading my way.

" hello young lady" he says which gives me a creepy and bad vibe. " what do you need and why do you keep following me all around!" I asked rather annoyed at the fact that the man just keeps staring at my breast.

" well I don't have time for questions but I'll just get straight to the point, your dad was a good friend of mine but he disobeyed me which didn't really go well with me so I ordered him to be brought to me, I tortured him and made sure he agreed with me, would you like to know what he agreed for?" He asked, which I know wasn't going to be good but I asked. "What?".

"Good, he offered his daughter to me which I gladly accepted and you my dear, happened to be her"
I stood there shocked, my dad would never do that but this is all confusing. How does this all match I don't understand.

"Grab her!" He shouted to the people in the car. But I heard that and quickly ran. I could hear them close but I had to put in my strength because its now or never.

I ran and ran till I hit something but I removed myself to run, I hadn't taken two step when someone holds me and I screamed and the person covers my mouth.

"Is this how I'm gonna die" I thought, I guess this is it. But this person sure has nice taste for hand cream.

"Why were you running" A rather familiar voice says. I'm in a dark alleyway because I left work a little late. Turning myself to see the owner of the voice I was faced MR. JERK, what was he doing here. I was distracted by the near footsteps.

"Oh my God!,please help me" I say to Zack. Before I could say another word, he left me and went for the men chasing me and started beating them.

I just have to get outta here. I tried running but Zack stopped me. I guess he's through but cos their bodies are on the floor covered with blood.

I was hyperventilating but he pulled me in a hug which surprised me and I didn't care because he had a strong/soft chest, I could stay like this for ever but I guess i was out of luck.

I was dragged forcefully by Zack out of that damn hole and was greeted by the break lights of cars and the horning sounds of cars.

But what I didn't expect happened next.

Very sorry for the late update. I had exams all through last month, but it was successful and I came out with good result :)....Promise to update faster...thank you ....
