Chapter 1: We met for a reason

ANDREA'S POV

What a lazy day. Still on the bed doing nothing. Ugh! Kakatapos lang ng Valentines day 2 days ago. Eto pa rin ako, nagpapakasaya maging single. Wala eh, ganun talaga ang buhay kaya dapat kang masanay. 

Opened my social media accounts when I suddenly saw something. Well I figured out that my EX ultimate crush "Matthew" broke up with his girlfriend. Eto nanaman ako! Single nanaman si crush tapos aasa nanaman tas magkaka girlfriend nanaman siya. Eh puchang gala hindi niya naman ako mapapansin eh! Kailangan ko ba maging maganda para mapansin niya ako? 

I first knew Matthew sa isang picture lang. He was with my friend, a friend from way back. The first time I saw him, I know I can't have him. Even though I have the gutts to flirt, I know I still can't. I never ruined a couple, a relationship. I have never been the reason of a break up.

The story goes like this,

Matthew had been my ultimate crush since the day I saw him on the photo. Well, sa facebook ko lang siya nakita. He was just tagged. So I started stalking at his profile. I added him and then followed him on twitter. He accepted the friend request from me. Ngayon ko lang din naman nalaman na may girlfriend pala siya. It was November when I first talked to him. This conversation was on facebook.

Me: Ikaw yung boyfriend ni Jane diba?

Matthew: Yiiz

Matthew: Why po? /:)

Me: Wala lang nvrmnd =))

Matthew: Hala bakit? haha!

Matthew: Share

Me: Wala nga, You okay na? :)

Matthew: Yeah. Can't wait to play again

Me: Good to know. Hoho :)

Matthew: Close kayo ni Jane?

Me: No :) Kilala lang. Why? :)

Matthew: Just askin' :)

That was our first conversation. I'm happy, feeling inspired, I don't know. Mixed emotions. I don't know why I feel this? Ang gaan ng loob ko sa kanya. The day we talked was a meaningful one for me. After awhile, I saw her mom's facebook, yes I added her. I saw her mom was posting something about Matthew's ill. Well I really didn't know what happened to him. All I know was he was just confined at the hospital.  Her mom posted the his right leg still have cancer cells.

I was shocked when I saw that word "cancer" So okay? I don't know, bigla kong na feel yung down. He had this non-hodgkin lymphoma, Stage 3 cancer. Yes, I was totally shocked. Kaya pala siya nasa hospital because he was having his chemo therapy. But, hindi ko na muna pinansin, I don't want to stress him out. And hello? Hindi naman kami close no!

And yes until now I'm still stalking at his timeline, pati sa twitter. I saw how sweet they was ni Jane. Napatingin ako sa salamain ng de oras. 

"Am I pretty? No. He's too handsome to be my boyfriend. Andie! He's on the top! Hindi mo siya pwede maging boyfriend! You're ugly, not sexy, and not pretty! Tignan mo nga sa picture nung mga naging girlfriend niya? Ang ssexy diba? Wag ka na asa ka pa!"

It was really weird talking infront of the mirror. Eh kasi wala naman talaga akong pag asa sa kanya. You know when you're insecure right? Ugh!

Someone knocked on my door

"Come in"

"Andrea my baby, breakfast is serve. Ang aga aga cellphone ka nanaman." Okay? Mom, I'm already 15 years of age! Ugh. Yan ang ayaw ko kay mom, akala niya boyfriend nanaman inaatupag ko pag hawak ko cellphone ko.

"Okay mom. Una na kayo, sunod po ako." Tinago ko na yung phone ko sa safe place, yung hindi makukuha. Hindi ko kasi kayang mabuhay ng wala phone ko. Hahaha!

All I do with my cellphone is just tweet and post something on fb, sometimes pag may boyfriend ofcourse kakausapin ko. Right now I'm in a relationship with someone, yeah. 

When I go home after school, I always check on his facebook and twitter. Yeah. I even tweet who my crush is, hindi ko alam kung nahahalata niya ba na siya yun. I always tweet this letter "M" because it's the first letter on his name.

One night, while I was sleeping, my phone ranged so loudly. Yeah! Nagising din ako dahil sa lakas ng pag vibrate. It's him who's calling. Tinignan ko yung orasan, "What the fuck? It's 1 am in the morning and he's calling?"

Since crush ko naman siya, when I answered my phone, I addressed him with a sleepy voice HAHAHAHAHAHA 

"Hello?" Yeah I was doing the sleepy voice already HAHAHA

"Oh hey, nagising ba kita?"

"Hindi naman, ano ba yan! Anong oras na nasa kalsada ka pa!"

"Sorry naman. Nagkayayayaan kasi ng inuman dahil birthday ng classmate ko. I'm feeling tipsy but I'm fine. Nasa iris ka ba?"

"No, I'm at a friend's house. Teka, asan ka ba?" I was kinda worried. Kasi sabi niya tipsy siya, eh nasan ba tong pogi na to?

"Uhm, actually I really don't know where I am. Naka lock na din kasi yung bahay eh."

WHAT THE FUCK!? Ugok sa imo! I started worrying, I started to care. Hindi pa siya magaling pero umiinom siya? Aba hindi pwede yon.

"MR. CARSON, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?"

He was just laughing at me. Oh yeah? Nerbyos ko lang kung may mangyari sa kanya. And then we talked until 3 am, imbis na mahimbing tulog ko, sinamahan ko pa talaga siya. Hay. It was the best night ever. Kung makapag usap kami akala mo super duper close na kami. Napaka feeling ko. Hahahahaha. The next day after that conversation, I tried to flirt with him but I don't know why he can't see me. Oo nga pala, walang "kami"   He was just being friendly.

Yeah school passed, there's nothing new. Everything is still the same.
