My Birthday

My story began on July Eighth. In my small town the weather was just warm, as we lived not exactly by, but near the beach, so the cold winds were swept over to us. A perk, was being a little ways away from the city, so the stars were more vibrant, and the crowds less crowded. Over all I couldn't complain much, there are a few things I would change if I could, but nothing that bad or interesting goes on around here.

As the most interesting thing that has happened lately is my birthday. Today I turn fourteen, but I mean even this event isn't even that exciting. Every year I have a small party with all my friends which is usually about fifteen, but this year I won't even be having that. I guess i'm just not as much of a social butterfly as I was last year, more so just the quiet kid. I mean, I've learned that sometimes just shutting up is best, so that's what I've been doing. Sometimes if I don't shut up things just escalate to a whole new level.

So what I'm doing today, is with the little amount of money I have, renting a hotel room for tonight and hanging out with my friend Raven. I'll get there in a little while, but as for her she can't make it till later. But honestly I'd rather be alone, I enjoy company, but sometimes i'm enough. All I have with me is the new cannon power shot my mom got me for my birthday, my guitar, some clothes, my Xbox,  and makeup. Knowing Raven though, i didn't have to bring anything else, because she is not exactly a light packer.

"Bye dad" I smile as I open my door and step out into the hot air, letting the air conditioner leak out of the truck, while I collect my things.

"I'm not paying to condition the whole damn world" He sighs as I slam the door shut

"Sorry, see ya tomorrow" I smile excitedly as I wave and step away from the old, beaten down, Ford Ranger

"Bye, love ya" And with that he speed away and left me to check into the hotel by my self, in which I did successfully

When I got to my room, I unlocked my door and threw my bags on the bed, and plopped down on it. I heard the door creak open, and sighed as I got up to close it, but as I got to the door way I saw a tall intimidating man standing before me. I didn't get a good look at him, because my anxiety kicked in, and I started doing what I do best, staring at my dirty black converse as if they were th most interesting thing in the world.

"H-Hi, can I help you?" I stuttered uncontrollably

"Are you Skyler?" He asked, then I knew his voice, but so frightened I couldn't put a name to it. But the voice mad me feel safe, even though it was growling at me.

"Yes" I nod downward

"So your the fake who thinks she's all that at guitar" He chuckles madly as he shoves me onto the floor, making me whimper

"I-I think you've got the wrong p-person! I've only been learning for three months" I panic, still on the floor, and looking down "Please don't hurt me"

"Hey Hey" He kneeled down to my level as tears leaked from eyes.

"I'm sorry" I squeak

"It's okay" He rubbed my back "I must have the wrong person"

"Then how would you know where I am and my name?" I ask

"Do you know anybody named Raven? That's who told me to come here and kept harassing me on social media" He growls again

"She wouldn't do that!" I squeak, finally looking into his deep brown eyes.

"You never know" He sighs, now sitting beside me, then I laugh awkwardly

"That bitch fucking knows me" I look at him, wiping away my tears

"I'm confused" He says

"Tony Perry" I point to him blushing madly and still laughing like a maniac
