I woke up slightly disappointed. I mean, yesterday I met my favorite guitarist because my friend cyber bullied him enough to come meet her, but instead met me, but I know I'll never see him again. And he replaced her, so I was all alone on my special day. Then of course in a couple hours I'd half to check out and walk ten miles to my home because it's Sunday morning... Meaning my dad has the worlds worst hangover.
I wouldn't say he's a bad father, just a little rough around the edges. He wouldn't have been a drunk if my mom didn't leave, but then again shit happens and you can't just pretend that they don't, I know that because that's all I ever do.
But I guess besides all the sadness I had also a ping of excitement. I was full of curiosity to see the video I had taken with Tony. So I grabbed my computer and wen straight to YouTube, waiting impatiently as the crappy hotel WiFi loaded.
I nearly screamed when I saw the screen! I had already one million seven hundred and sixty three views, thanks to Tony. But strangely I had over three hundred thumbs down, probably people just jealous that I know TONY freaking PERRY! But I started to get frustrated when I when the comments...
I cringe at all the words of hate, I mean, I'm used to getting bullied, but these were just horrible! Picking out each and everyone of my flaws, and targeting my worst securities. Tears pricked my eyes as I scrolled down, but smiles at the few nice once. Fat, anorexic, bingo winged, double chinning, desperate slut. These words whispered, more like screamed, at me. But the overwhelming ping in my chest flooded away as I saw an ad.
"Make a living from home" I whispered as read and studied the YouTube logo. I clicked on the add and I put in my first and last name, Skyler Perry, Ironically the same last name as Tony. To get paid I had to put in my credit card information. I mean, if it actually is a scam, I only have a little over two hundred and forty dollars in my bank account.
Ring, Ring, Ring
My phone startled me, making me jump, just before I could submit my information.
Ring, Ring, Ring
"Hello?" I sung into the line, before I could even check the caller ID
"Hey Skyler!"
"Tony?" I ask, furrowing my eyebrows
"Yup" He pops the 'p'
"What's up?" I ask genuinely confused, I knew I gave him my number, but I never in a million years thought he'd call
"Oh nothing much! Just woke, and I thought i'd give ya a call and see if you were busy" He yawns
"Oh, not really, how come?"
"I thought maybe we can hangout"
"Tony, you're twenty eight... And I'm fourteen" I sigh
"Skyler, you're like a little sister to me" He chuckles "Beside I can tell you must not have the best family situation"
"What?" I stutter
"I mean, someone dropped you off at the hotel by yourself" He says pitifully, I just sigh
"You're right"
"What's wrong?"
"My dad, he hasn't been the same since my mom left" I shrug "He started drinking, and I was left with my dad while she took my sister"
"That's rough"
"It'll be okay" I say, not just trying to convince him, but myself too "Well anyway"
"Do you wanna hangout?" Tony asks
"I don't think I can today" I sigh "I have to check out in an hour, then walk home"
