Chapter 2: The Classroom

As soon as lunch was over, we headed on over to our 4th class of the day. I was scared of this class and so was my friend, but I was scared more. I was scared because of what people have said about the class. The teacher was mean if you didn't do your homework, if someone talked back to him, he would take you into the closet and smack your butt with a metal ruler. And believe me, it would hurt so much if you had shorts on and he had the right angle. Anyways, we were wondering if we should even walk in. She said we should just go in and follow his rules, but "following the rules" wasn't my kind of thing. I would start to follow them then forget about them about a week after the class started.

I had talked to my friend and we both agreed we should hide out in a janitor's closet. This closet was more of a hangout for them. All of their cleaning supplies were here and there were tables and chairs to relax in. There were no janitors in there so we snuck in and hid. We were probably more scared of getting caught then anything else.

"Hey." I said. "We might be in here for a while so how about we get to know each other. Sound okay to you?"

"Of course. I would love that." She said.

"Cool. Tell me about yourself. Where are you from? What grade are you in? What brought you to this town?" I had asked. I could come up with so much more, but I wanted her to talk.

"Well, I'm originally from Alabama but I moved up here last year. Wish I could say city life is better, but it's not." She told me.

"Wait. Are you a country girl?" I asked.

"You bet your horses I am." She exclaimed. I felt so in love with her right now. I love country girls.

"That's awesome. I love myself a good ol' country gal." I said proudly

"Ok?" She questioned as I felt embarrassed.

"Sorry. Just that I have always wanted to live in the country. But continue with your story." I exclaimed to her.

"Ok. Well, where were we? Oh yeah, I lived in Alabama all my life. We moved up here because of my grandma. She's getting old and not doing so good. Doctor's have said she's got another 6-12 months to live." She told me.

As she kept talking about her life and how she got here, I just came out and asked her what her name was. She said her name was Taylor. I then went to ask her if she had a boyfriend. I felt really embarrassed then. She told whether she did or not. I wanted to keep it between us for now.

We heard the bell for our next class. We didn't have it together so we agreed to meet up at her house after school. I was happy but was glad we didn't have to go to "the classroom." I was just hoping I could talk to someone who was in class to see how it really was. I can't wait till we meet up after school. It's gonna be so awesome.

A/N:

Hey guys, what's up. Hope you liked this. I purposely didn't say where Taylor lives just because I wanted to save it for a big moment in Chapter 3. I can't wait for it. Anyways, follow me on snapchat at themelloman14. I will post updates on my story there. Might make a discord so I don't have to manage multiple accounts on one phone. But I'll figure something out by Chapter 5.

Hope you guys liked this chapter. Sorry didn't talk a whole lot about the classroom, but they were avoiding the classroom. We'll learn more about it later. See ya next time guys.
