Suzuki’s POV:
I looked up from my book as Itachi and Kisame came back into the base. I sighed, “Well that’s everyone. It’s time for me to get out of here.” I sat my book down and smiled as I said, “It’s getting kind of boring in here. I think I’m gonna go for a walk, get some fresh air.” I stood up and Kisame asked, “You are going alone? But you don’t ever go walking alone.” I shrugged, “Maybe that’s why I’m going alone. Get some me time in. I’ll see you guys when I get back.” Kisame laughed, “That’s probably a good reason to go then. I’ll see you when you get back. We’re gonna spar right?” I nodded, “Of course, Kisa-senpai.” Usually he would object to the nickname, but he’s kinda gotten used to it. Itachi hadn’t spoken the whole time, but he gave me a look that told me that he thought I was up to something. I called him on it in a playful tone of voice, “What’s wrong, Itachi-sensei? You aren’t worried that I’m going to get hurt are you? Or maybe you think I might run off?” He just replied in his emotionless voice, “Suzuki, go carefully.” I suppressed the shiver that his voice always caused in me. I just waved him off as I went out the door. I just walked normally for a good while. I remember the first time that Itachi and I trained.
Flashback:
“Why did we have to get up so early? I’m still tired!” I whined as I followed the emotionless Uchiha. He’s different from his brother. While his brother’s eyes hold hate and pain, Itachi’s eyes only hold nothing. They hold nothing at all. He’s just; well there is only one word to describe him, cool. But I’ve seen him happy; I remember when Sasuke and I were younger. I used to come over all the time and we’d all three laugh and play together. My thoughts were interrupted by a swift kick in my gut. I was thrown into a nearby tree. I coughed, “Why’d you do that?” He replied, “I’ve been ordered to train you. Your first lesson is always expect to be attacked at any time. Now get up.” He threw a fire ball at me and I rolled out of the way just in time. I used the bushes to hide behind as I transformed into a small black wolf. I quickly ran around to where Itachi was standing. I considered my next move carefully. The logical thing to do would be to try and take out his feet and pin him to the ground. Maybe I should summon some help? I quickly dismissed that idea. That would give away my position. I looked to where Itachi was standing to find that he had disappeared. Uh-oh, I’ve got to find him. I transformed back into a human, but kept my wolf ears. I heard a movement behind me and I quickly turned around in time to block punch that was aimed at my head. I grinned, “You aren’t going to get me this time.”
I had my wolf ears on. I’ve got to be careful about this, if any of them find me I’ll be in deep trouble. I grabbed up my bag that I had hidden in the very training grounds that Itachi had trained me. I smiled as I remembered the way that my first training session ended. I slung my bag on my back and took off in the direction of the Hidden Leaf Village. I know the general direction, but when I get farther away from here I’ll have to check my map.
Flashback (continued):
Itachi’s eyes went wide as he took in the wolf ears on my head, “How?” I flipped him through the air and quickly moved as far away from him as possible, “It’s my Kekkei Genkai. That’s not all I can do.” I transformed into a wolf and quickly lunged at him. I was right at his throat before he disappeared into a flock of crows. I growled, “Damn, it!” He was back to being emotionless again, “I see. That’s enough for today. But in the future we will have a separate training session for you to train your Kekkei Genkai and then one for the rest of your training.” Suddenly, I was back in my room. Itachi was standing there looking at me, just where we started. I looked around, “But how?” He said, “That was part of my own Kekkei Genkai.” With that he walked off, and I made it my mission to defeat him.
I was running as quietly as I could so that I wouldn’t miss anything. So far I haven’t heard them coming after me, so I assume they still think I’m going to come back after my walk. I sensed a presence ahead of me and came to a complete stop. I transformed into a wolf and snuck up towards the person. When I tried to catch their scent, all I got was cat. I hid behind a bush and looked at the strange person in front of me. It was a girl but not just any girl. She had cat ears and a tail to boot! She had hair so blonde that it was almost white. She looked as though she was lost, but I sensed something else about her. Something that said she was running from something. I transformed back into myself and walked out of the bush, “Who are you? What are you doing in this neck of the woods?”
