Growing up with cats and dogs, I got used to the sounds of scratching at my door while I slept. Now that I live alone, it is much more unsettling.
--------

In all of the time that I've lived alone in this house, I swear I've closed more doors than I've opened.
---------
I awoke to the sound of the baby monitor crackling with a voice comforting my firstborn child. As I adjusted to a new position, my arm brushed against my wife, sleeping next to me.
--------
There's nothing like the laughter of a baby. Unless it's 1 a.m. And you're home alone.
-------
She asked why I was breathing so heavily. I wasn't. *insert dramatic music* THUN THUN THUN
-------
There's no food in the fridge.
-------
I've always loved red roses, but I'm scared of them now; especially the ones that mysteriously appear on my table, minutes after I had put them on the grave of my dead husband.
-------
I never understood why my little sister was terrified of my father- he did not even seem to be aware of her existence, whereas she kept on claiming that he had killed her before she was born.
-------
It was 3am when I woke up to the shrill ring of the telephone, and realized with horror, only seconds later, that I did not own a phone. (Sad life dood)
-------
The grinning face stared at me from the darkness beyond my bedroom window when I lived on the 14th floor.
-------

Did that scare you? Sorry if I'm the reason you'll be awake all night🤣 Also if you're really scared watch this video.. hopefully that would make you feel better😂
