My steps rang out as I sprinted through the allyway. My breathing was ragged and I couldn't run much farther but I needed to make it to the outskirts of the city. I cast another spell of concealment as I fell to the ground breathing hard. I heard shouting and I started running again. I saw the city gates and I poured on speed but right before I got out of the City I felt my collor become taut. Oh Hell I thought as I was thrown to the ground. A shadow loomed over me as I acted tired out, wich wasn't very hard, and waited to be blasted by magic. They think it will kill me but it will just make me stronger. Once I have enough energy I can take all of their magic from them and leave this horrible place. I don't like to do this but it's the only way.
"You thought you could get away from the royal court." Boomed a deep voice somewhere off to my right as the group of guards circled around me.
"I think and I can," I said looking for an opening. If I don't have to rob someone of their magic I definitly woun't.
"You have guts to say something like that to the prince of Karelion." The figure replied as he stepped into the light of one of the oil lanterns lining the side of the road. Things just got complicated my mind said to me as the prince laughed. "I just might have let you live and keep you in the dungeons but that idea is gone. You have earned the privlige of being destroyed by the greatest light keeper in the land, The Great Prince Blake!" Blake advanced on me as I looked for an opening anywhere. If I get hit by a magician as strong as Blake I can either choose to die or I can absorb the blast and more. If they put all their magic into that blast, which I know he will, my powers will steal all of his magic and leave him a magician with no magic. A hollowed out version of his past self, He will have no energy and will be bed ridden until the day he passes on. I hate doing that to people but doing to the prince of Karelion is a whole different story. If he hits me with his blast of magic I'll be exiled from Karelion and will have to live on one of the surrounding islands. And there they will probabley still chase me down. This decision will change the rest of my life, utterly destroy the prince or take the energy from the guards and teleport away from this place. But if I take the energy from the guards they will die right away, they just arn't strong enough. I made my decition and sucked the energy out of all the surrounding guards but before I could teleport away Prince Blake blasted me with a huge blast of magic. I felt my energy growing and I teleported away and right before I disappeared I saw the prince collapse. But in his iris there las still flowing light energy. He was tired but ok. I had avoided killing the prince, and I finally escaped
