*AN - The picture above is Adrian. I don't know who this actually is, but credit to their parents.*
No one's POV
"You used me. You let me believe you actually cared for me."
"You would have preferred threats and coercion?" He replied. "I would have got what I needed from you, either way, it merely seemed kinder to do it pleasantly and with the illusion of your free will." He studied the other man's face carefully and took a step forward. "Nothing has to change, we've made a great team."
"But it was all a lie!"
The taller man closed the gap the rest of the way and cradled the smaller man's head. "You couldn't tell the difference. You thought I loved you - does it really matter if I actually do or don't if it feels the same?"
"Of course it matters - I - stop it. Stop talking. I need to think."
"I need to know you're not going to do something stupid if I let you do that, I would prefer this not to get violent." He said as he stroked the shorter man's cheek. "But I need you on my side, here"
"Why would I ever want to work with you after all the people you've harmed?" He spat. "Not one person has ever finished their work alive while working with you."
The taller man studied the bottle green eyes full of hatred before pulling away. "I'll give you two days alone to make your decision. Hopefully, you'll make the right one." With that the man walked out of the room, slamming the door as he went.
The rope tied around the tinny superhero began to tighten. His mind started to organize a list of the pros and cons of working with the enemy. The bonds reminded him of his responsibilities he possessed to the city. Although he owed the city nothing, they owed him everything. Every day since he had come to the broken city of Delta, the police had bestowed upon him their responsibilities. Because apparently if you had a cape, it meant you wanted to help people. All Adrian wanted to do was live a normal life. Even if he wasn't.
The rope also gave him a sense of peace. Knowing that he was in a close proximity to the person he loved. The blond-haired main never ceased to make him weak in the knees. Ever since that unfortunate bump in, Adrian had wanted nothing more than to stare into those troubled teal blue eyes forever.
Even now that he knew the truth about Elliot's intentions, he knew that he would do anything for the man.
*AN - Welcome to my first attempt at finishing and writing a good story. This story will be boyxboy, so if you don't like that there are things called doors that you can walk out of. I accept constructive criticism, but please don't be rude. I hope you enjoy this story, so sit back and relax while I stress over the plot.*
