Nikki
I waited until Steven was gone to sit next to Josh. I still couldn't believe he kissed me. It's all I wanted my whole life, but then I have Steven, who I love more.
"I'm sorry." Said Josh, he wouldn't look up, but I could see his eyes through his bangs and he was crying.
"For what?" I said, I knew I had to say something. It would be awkward if I didn't.
That's when he looked up at me, and I could see his eye. Steven had punched it badly. It was really swollen and big.
"I kissed you, and I shouldn't of." He finally said, he was crying. But I couldn't tell if it was from the kiss, or his eye.
"It's okay." I said looking away, I was gonna start to cry.
"Look at the sunset." He said, looking up.
I moved my head over, and looked. It was gorgeous. The sun was going behind the clouds and the clouds were turning purple and orange.
As I was looking, I felt Josh grab my hand. I let him hold it, I didn't want to let go. But that's when my phone went off.
I picked up my phone but it was a unknown number, and I answered it.
"Hello?" I said, I was scared.
"Nikki? Is that you?" It was Steven.
"Yes, it's me."
"Meet me over by the big rock, alone." And he hung up.
I put down my phone and looked at Josh, "I have to go." I said, I could see the hope drain from his eyes.
"Please stay." He said.
"I can't, but I promise I'll sit on the bus with you tomorrow."
"Deal."
We both stood up, and he let go of my hand, but before I left he gave me a kiss on the cheek and ran away.
I started walking, but I thought I heard something behind me so I started running. But that when I heard Josh scream my name.
