Flashing Lights

We walked out and head straight for little Italy. The Christmas lights strung across the street lights replaced the stars in the night. Maybe it is because I'm a city girl, but I am one hundred percent better with these flashing lights. It makes the normal stars more rare and even more beautiful.
We walked around and I could smell different wines being opened while other tables being served hot platters of Italy's finest gourmets. I wanted to sit down to eat, but I knew little Italys prices were not so little and I wanted to buy other things than just food like I normally do.
As the aroma of cheesy lasagna filled my nostrils leaving a warm cozy feeling I knew  that if something exciting didn't happen soon I would get tired. Then an idea struck and I pulled my friends over to the side, it was easy to pull Kelly, but since Austin was kind of a bigger guy my gummy worms had some hindrance.
Austin looked annoyed and honestly I was annoyed with him as well for constantly being such a downer. That fact though was not going to ruin our friendship or this night.

"Austin I love you, but fück are you getting on my nerves. Tonight forget whatever Jersey problems you have, we all have problems, but tonight is not the night we fix them. This is the type of night that reality is fake, so hey let's be new people."

I'm surprised he hadn't cut me off yet so I kept rolling with it,
"I have a plan that will help us forget who we actually are and enjoy this night a bit more. Over there across the street two woman who seem to be friends look gullible and have a low alcohol tolerance. They don't drink much which is why they ordered 10 little sample bottles and without our help might end up in a dangerous situation if we let them consume each drink. Since they are clearly naive and will."

"Lana sometimes you scare me, you observe way too much," Kelly laughed and I knew she would go along with it.

"Muahaha" I started laughing and Austin broke his stern stance and joined in.

We pretended to take pictures...well we pretended to pretend. There's no pretending to model when a camera comes on sight with me and Kelly. It was a 'kill two birds with one stone' type of situation because as we were taking the pictures I had explained to them the plan and now we were just waiting for the perfect timing.
Which came sooner than later as I was posing sexily with my fingers entangled in my wild curls, mouth slightly agape, and me finally nailing down a good stare. After all the flashing lights I had noticed that the two were getting up to go to the bathroom together.

"Ha! I told you females typically have small bladders and go together!"

Austin handed me five bucks and I did a small happy dance as I had won half the bet. The other half was that Austin had the dirtier job. We crossed over the small string of lights that acted as a barrier between walking tourists and eating tourists.

Austin and Kelly sat down and were 'arranging' the table. I appeared to be a photographer with my phone in my hand placed horizontally. I leaned over the table covering the bottles and other things with my bag open. Austin quickly knocked a few of the tiny bottles into my bag and quickly closed it.

I squatted down and took a few pictures of them so we looked real. I was really into it when I felt manicured fingers tap my shoulder.

"Excuse me this is our table,"The brunette with too much lipliner said with a nasty snarl. I inwardly rolled my eyes, exhaled and smiled,

"Oh I'm sorry I thought you were done and we just wanted snap a few pictures in this amazing lighting," I said and it seemed the redhead next to her had struck an idea.

"Ooh Karen, the lighting is good here" She turned to face me,"Do you mind taking our pictures at this table?"

It took all of me to suppress my laughter at her desperation, but because we had just stolen their liquor I put out my hand and smiled.

Ten minutes later and they had finally both agreed that they liked a picture. They were about to ask for more, but I simply could not stand them and waved bye as I left.
We walked away and as we were crossing streets headed towards broad I texted my mom where we were. She asked for pictures and I sent them and she was just happy I was alive. I was happy for the contents of my purse. We went into this souvenir store that was narrow, but seemed to go on forever. We were in the back behind some knock off purses that covered our faces.
The only worker was in the front trying to attract people inside. Austin casually glanced at the guy every few seconds as me and Kelly took a bottle and tried to chug it. Even though the bottle was small enough to stay in my palm hidden, it was powerful. Kelly was coughing loudly which caused the worker to look back and start heading our direction.
I put the bottles back into my purse and we started to look at stuff and even asked the guy about prices. We began to bargain and I bought a long necklace that had a compass as it's jewel with a rose laced onto it. It reminded me of Alice in Wonderland for a bit. I prayed that I was more vigilante than Alice and certainly less naive.
I walked out happily fidgeting with my necklace. We walked around more and
headed towards the infamous Macy's. We walked all over looking for an abandoned spot. Of course we didn't find one, but found a more discreet area. Next to the food court there was a dress shop and we strolled past the puffier dresses. When I lifted a dress one of them took a drink behind. It turned into a bit of a Simon says drinking game.
Each one of us would take a turn lifting the dress and by that point I was slightly tipsy. I could feel the alcohol in my system which made me a lot warmer, but not enough to let myself get kidnapped. We all agreed to drink to that point and stop.
A girl though had been walking around with her two friends who seemed to actually be looking for a dress. I noticed she had been staring at us and I wondered how much she had seen. She had been smart about it though taking break in between to converse with her friends.
I hadn't taken a break and waited to make eye contact with her. I quickly side glanced and told Kelly and Austin what I was doing. They nodded and sat down on the floor with no shame waiting. I wanted to post this on snap because I found it hilarious, but I refrained myself.
The girl finally looked back over and made eye contact and she quickly looked away blushing. It was really cute that'd she's be intimidated by a girl who looks nine. I walked over to her and by now her dirty blonde hair was towards me. I could smell her overuse of Marc Jacobs perfume. However, that could just be my strong sense of smell.
I tapped on her shoulder and she turned around and her dark green eyes widened behind her hipster glasses. She looked down and I heard her breathe and when she looked up she smiled. I laughed because that was my thing, "Hey, I'm Eliana, but my friends call me Lana, and I feel like we'd be cool friends" Wow liquid courage is amazing.
She laughed put out her hand, "I'm Gaby and yea I saw you and your friends and it looked like so much more fun than I was having."

"Well if you wanna be my friend know that I hug and handshake elders that I have to show respect to." I opened my arms and we hugged making me even warmer.

"If your friends are boring then you can hang with us,"
At that moment Austin and Kelly showed up. Gaby looked slightly nervous in her eyes, but her speech and body language said other wise.
"Are you guys huggers like Lana?"
They nodded and then hugged.
"Well Lana, I'd love to, but I just found my dress and have to be home to see the party my sister is throwing doesn't get to crazy."

"Well Gaby," I looked towards Kelly and Austin and they gave me an encouraging look. "If you want we can help keep the party under control, we can become better friends, and have fun"

"Wow thank god you caught on, I only mentioned the party so you could come" I laughed.

"The party is in the Hamptons come on, we have to go before we miss the bus,"

So I did what I had to do texted my mom we were watching a street play from a gazebo. Then I may have also taken a few more sips of my drink, just to feel slightly more tipsy.
