Jon deeply inhaled and stretched his body as he opened his eyes.
He looked over at the clock on his bed side stand and saw the white number 9:42.

"Another black and white day lays ahead." He had spent all 25 years of his life in black and white, and waiting to see color.
Only those who had found their soulmate could see color. He was beginning to think he'd never see color, as almost every one of his friends and family has found their soul mates and could feel the absolute blissful feeling he longed for.

He turned back and his head fell on his pillow as he stared up at his ceiling, debating weather or not to go back to sleep.
He decided against it.

He showered and got dressed then grabbed his phone heading back to the bathroom.
When he was finished getting ready for the day it was 9:59.

He looked up at himself in the mirror. He started straight into his own eyes.
He couldn't see the blue color that contrasted the white swirls and digs. He simply saw grey.

His phone buzzed as a text came in.

Sweet Girl 🌾
Hey Uncle Jon!! Are you here? I'm back stage getting make-up done! The musical starts soon! I'm so nervous and excited 😋🙃😊

"Oh shiiii-" He had forgotten today was his 11 year old Niece's musical. He began typing a message back as he ran to the living room.

::You're gonna do great Princess! Don't be nervous! I can't wait to see you perform 😘::

He hit send and threw his phone down and began putting on his shoes as fast as he could.

He grabbed his keys and ran out of his house and to his car.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" He yelled at someone who backed out at the same time- almost hitting his car - and ended up get flipped off.

When he finally got to the place the performance was being held he had 10 minutes until the play began.

He rushed in and sat down in the back. He exhaled deeply.
His phone went off once more.

Big Boy Cozart
Hey Jon, you here ?

::Yeah, I'm in the back::

He hit send on the message to his brother and felt something brush against his wrist.

Suddenly everything went white.
Once the white faded, it didn't fade back to black and white, everything gained color.

He was in shock but smiled. Then it hit him;
He found his soulmate.

He looked to his right and saw a man with warm and welcoming brown eyes, brunet hair, and pink cheeks, looking back at him.

He looked beautiful. The light coming from the stage was illuminating his face perfectly.

He noticed the look in the man's eyes and his heart melted. He knew.
This man was his soulmate.

"I'm Jon," he smiled and held his left hand out.

"Thomas," He shook his hand but didn't let go.

"Ladies and Gentlemen," a loud voice boomed, catching their attention.

"The play is about to begin. Please silence all electronics and enjoy the show."

The boys looked at eachother again and locked their fingers together, Jon resting his head on Thomas' shoulder.

He finally had it.
He had his color,
He had his bliss,
He had his one and only,
He had his soulmate.
