It started out like any other,

This dream I have so often dreamed.

I was greeted by my mother

And sent to school or so it seemed.

But when I rounded the corner,

I was back inside my childhood home.

I looked around in absolute horror,

Everything I loved was gone.

I tried my hardest just to leave,

But always ended up in the same distorted  place.

I wanted to wake up and retrieve

My sanity, but could never find any peace.

I was trapped, that I know.

Trapped in my own sorrow.
