It took us a week, but the five of us managed to work into a rhythm. I'd wake up early every morning, pad down to the kitchen, and start on breakfast. Niall would then wake up due to the aroma of whatever I cooked. Before he'd come get he'd go wake the twins up from their slumber and we'd eat like a family. It was an odd family, but it was mine.
I call Katie every day to make sure she was okay. She was and she assured me that she wasn't mad at me or the twins. Then she'd ask about me and Niall. I had made sure he wasn't around when I'd talk about his kiss, his hugs, and his terms of endearment.
On the fifth day of my staying with Niall he leapt into my room. He dove onto my bed pulling me from The Fault In Our Stars. He bought it more me the day we went shopping. It was an emotional rollercoaster. I couldn't handle the last few chapters without bursting into hysterics, chucking the book across the room.
"So you've gotten there." he observed reaching over to pick it up.
"Ofcourse, I've gotten there." I sobbed cowering away from the book.
"Don't take it out on the book." he scolded dusting off the book, though it didn't need to be.
"Oh I will. Did the same thing with Deathly Hollows. Ask the twins."
This was true. When I'd reached the end of the Deathly Hollows I burst into tears at the part where Harry's talking to his mum, and he was like, "Stay with me?" and she said "Always." I gave up on life at the part where Fred, did his thing.
Niall laughed, filling the previously silent room. He cuddled up beside me tracing shapes on my arm. "Ya know what occurred to me earlier?" he asked rhetorically. "We've never been on a proper date."
My stomach dropped at that. It's not that I didn't want to go on one with Niall, no, but there were a lot of factors to consider, but one stuck out. he had been my first kiss and given my background I hadn't gone on one yet. .
Niall's mouth turned down to mirror mine. "What's wrong?"
"You've already wined and dined me." I said with a small bit of amusement trying to make a joke out of it.
"Yeah, but that was before I knew you. That was a stranger's curiosity. I want to take you somewhere fun. Somewhere we can bond." I sighed. "Pleassseee." he begged pouting his lip out slightly. It wasn't sexy as much as it was weakening.
"That's not fair." I protested as he quivered his lips his, blue eyes staring up at me slowly blinking.
"Don't know what you're talking about. I'm just being me." he said, "But I could stop if you said yes. I could be a less pitiful version of me."
Smacking his arm, I muttered a soft 'yes'. He jumped off my bed and ran out the door singing something that sounded like a drunk would sing as he downed another one. Niall briefly popped his head back in just long enough to say,
"We'll be going on a picnic, so, ya know, could ya, fix somethin'?"
I threw my thumb up in response. Dragging myself up, I went to fix something for us to eat. It had been ages since I'd gone on a picnic. The last time was before he messed everything up. I remember the field and the wildflowers, they way the world seemed to be gone. But then again, I was young and then the world was only as big as the people you cared about.
As I spread the Nutella on the toast I heard shouts of excitement from the door. In came running the twins their arms waving, fighting over an envelope. Andrew was trying to pull it out of Alex's reach, while Alex was trying to open it.
"This is a felony." grunted Andrew as he finally managed to tear it out of Alex's grasp.
"What is?" huffed Alex crossing the kitchen to stand behind me.
