A young and beautiful princess walked by the garden of roses, each smelling them one by one due to its irresistible fragrance. Her guard just stood by her side, watching her every move.

Everyday, she would come and do the same thing, and her scent would remind everyone of roses due to her love for that flower. Even in winter, she would wander through the palace gardens and touch the white roses.

She never grew sick of it no matter how much she's done it.

While the young princess stopped, she heard footsteps from behind. The guard beside her bowed in respect. "Your Majesty," She immediately gasped and saw her father walk to her.

"Mikasa. We are leaving."

"Yes, fa- My Lord." Mikasa responded and went to her room. Maids rounded up and groomed her; smoothening her hair, adding powder to her skin and changing her gown. She looked at the mirror, and she was quite pleased.

As the maids were ready to leave her room, she made a quick stop to the garden and plucked a rose, tucking it by her right ear and smiling thereafter. Mikasa walked quickly to the carriage with an escort and the royal family left.

On the ride, the Queen conversed delightfully. The King willingly listened to his wife's words, yet ignoring the child who was clearly pondering on her own. Mikasa was smiling to herself as she dreamt of a boy.

Her mind pictured a handsome young boy dancing with her at the Palace Garden. He had beautiful teal eyes, dark brown hair and tan skin— yet he was perfect, she thought.

Thought it may have been in a dream, she felt great and hopeful.

Mikasa sighed as she fidgeted with the rose petal. Her mother seemed to have noticed it and immediately snatched it away from her. She gasped.

"This flower doesn't suit you!" She said and threw the rose away out of the window. Mikasa felt hurt and looked down. She couldn't understand why her parents were like this.

"You are ugly! Why are you even here on this trip?!" The Queen growled. The King glared at Mikasa, yet ignored the Queen's comments towards their daughter. Mikasa, however, was at her wit's end and was on the verge of crying.

That was when suddenly, a loud cry  emanated from outside. Mikasa shot up from her seat and looked from where the sound was heard. Yet the coachmen commanded the horse to go faster.

The King and Queen were terrified.

"Y-Your Majesties! Th-There are creatures chasing us!!" Mikasa exclaimed, but they paid no heed and tried to escape, instantly jumping out of the carriage. She was shocked when she saw werewolves.

"AAAAH!"

Mikasa screamed as loud as she can while it ate her parents. She trembled as she watched the wolves feasting what's left of them. In turn, the coachmen screamed as the whole vehicle fell off the cliff, and onto the other side of the wall in an open area.

It crashes, breaking the wood into pieces as Mikasa flies out of it, hitting her head upon a rock.
