Making Pancakes

This was made to be a pretty short Chapter but then when I started writing I wanted to add a bit of detail thinking it would make it a bit better and got stuck with trying to think of ways to make a few situations actually realistic, sorry that's why it took a week to update. Loads and loads of paper work. Normally Emma wouldn't have much of a problem with it considering it's just part of the job, one of the worst part of the job that no one like to do but just like chores you do it anyways to get it done.

Hours go by and with the stacks of work she's been distracted with she just now realizing what time it is.

Henry crap. I'm suppose to pick him up in less than a half an hour. She mentally punishes herself. Realizing there's no way she gonna be able to at this point. Then suddenly Killian calls her.

"Hello love, I can't figure out this bloody device that's apparently used to heat up bread and suddenly it's pops out of no where" He says annoyed to himself.

Emma can't help but let out the small giggle she was trying to suppress. She wishes she could see his face this moment.

"what so funny?" He questions.

"Nothing just that your adorable when your helplessly frustrated over this type of stuff"

She then quickly explains to him that's it's a toaster and how your suppose to put the bread in and the appropriate time to wait but also not to get too scared and jump having a heart attack. Then noticing to tone of her voice while she explained to him is was pretty obvious how over worked she is.

"Rough day?"

"No more like stressful. Too much paper work to handle, might be coming home few hours later.."

"If it'll help I'll get Henry from school for you, it'll be no trouble" he tries to lighten the mood with an adorable smirk even if she can't see it.

"Yeah that would be great" She says gratefully and smiles "Ohh by the way, on the way to dropping him off I tried to talk about what happened this morning but it didn't exactly go so well.." she couldn't help but remember how awkward it was.

"Say no more I'll talk to the lad" he thought to himself couldn't be that bad. Could it?

At first she was suddenly surprised and a bit speechless. She wasn't expecting him to offer that but she was grateful and thought it might be good way for them to bond. "Thanks Killian I owe you" she says with obvious relief in her voice.

"Tonight my love" he says a bit seductive with a smirk that she can hear a mile away.

She rolled her eyes with a small laugh and continued on with her work.

Since Killian obviously doesn't have a car he goes to the school by walking to get to Henry.

He's use to a lot of walking as it is so for him a couple of blocks isn't bad.
