I walk up to his front door and knock. I don't hear any footsteps or a "come in!" I knock again and still complete silence.  I check to see if the door is unlocked and it is. I twist the knob and slip in. There is nothing but complete silence.
"Hello! Sam?!" Silence.
I walk deeper inside shutting the door behind me.
"Sam if you're hiding come out now or I'm leaving!" I say.
Still nothing.
I walk up the stairs and make my way to his room; the door is cracked and I hear music playing very low. I place my hand on the door and push it open lightly. I peak around and my eyes can't believe it.

"Sam?!" I shout. He jumps and his eyes grow wide.
I cover my mouth with my hand and begin to bust out in laughter. He takes the earbuds out of his ears and puts his phone down.

"Jesus Clover maybe a heads up would work!" He covers his junk and walks over to his dresser.

"I was on my way! You couldn't wait?!" I say in between laughter.

He shakes his head and winces.

"Condoms?" I ask him as I crawl back on top of him.

"Sam what are you doing?" I ask him.

I furrow my brows and stand. "Why not? Isn't that what you've always wanted? We told each other when we were little that we could lose our virginities to each other if we hadn't lost our virginities by this age that we'd lose it to each other. So here we are. He runs his fingers through his hair. "Sorry but no."

His words hit with complete confusion. I'm so confused. Like completely confused. Did I mention that I'm confused?

"I'm not understanding? Are you scared? Are you not ready?" I ask him.

"No Clover it's none of that."

"Then what is it Sam? Is it me? Do I look gross? Am I fat? Am I ugly? Do you not want me to be your first? What is it?" I ask him.

He shakes his head. "Clover no, it's none of that I promise." He says.

"Then tell me what it is Sam." I cover my body with my arms.

He hesitated for a second and I can see guilt on his face.

"Clover."

"Sam."

"I've already had sex"

His words completely surprise me. I went from being confused to being super surprised within like 2 minutes.

"With who?"

"anastasia karanikolaou."

My eyes grow wide and I have surprise written all over my face.

"Wow, um good for you I guess." I can't help but feel like a down grade. She is one of the most beautiful girls in the school.

We sit in awkward silence before he hands me my clothes.

"I'm sorry. I just don't want you losing yours to me."
His words take me by surprise and I feel angry.

"Yeah, I get it." I put my clothes on and try my best to leave as fast as I can.

"Wait Clo." He grabs my arm and I look at him. He leans in to give me a kiss but I look away.

"See you at school I guess."
