Are you Alright?

〜・～・～ Are you Alright? 〜・～・～

"Hey, are you alright?" He noticed my streaming tears that are pouring down from my face.

"Oh, uh yeah.. " I replied wiping my tears with my left arm. "What does it feel like staying here anyways?"

"Well... It would be kinda boring. Scratch that, VERY boring. I mean, no one comes around here. I wonder what it's like outside of here, y'know, being free, not curled up in a ball and being cold." He looked up as the rays of the sun shone upon him. His eyes glistened and shined as the sun's rays poured onto him. He is very daring and dashing looking.

"Why won't you just come out and leave the crystal ball or whatever there?"

"WHAT?! Never! This is very delicate and one tiny scratch can even-"

"Lead us to a war. Right. Maybe you can tell your leader or whatever to have someone else protect it...."

"Oh... SURE!!!!! Of course they will listen to me..." Lilac answered and then paused. His tail was slightly covering the crystal-like sphere. I could see it shine.

A noise crept along the corner to the area Lilac and I are in. I was worried. Who could that be? Or, WHAT would that be. I tried not to make any sudden noises. The footsteps came nearer and the shadows showed a tall, muscular man with something that looked like a tray of food.

"Hide." Lilac whispered as softly as he can as the footsteps came nearer and were louder. I listened to Lilac and found an old, crystal-like statue and hid behind it. I tried not to have anything look so.... Out in the open. I looked up and saw the man. He was my uncle.

"Here's your food, you dirty old rat." My uncle said throwing the food on the floor as if it was trash. I hated him. He never treated others properly. All he's thinking about is his muscles and how "amazing" he is. I bet you a million dollars that he is thinking about them. But, other than muscles and how tall he is and how amazing he thinks he is, he has a nose of a bloodhound. Oh, and his name is Durrain.

My uncle starting sniffing and I knew he would figure out that I was here. I thought I was going to be a goner! But, luckily, he forgot about it and walked away... But that's his trick. When I was little, he would always trick me. Those were sort of good times- yet painful.

I kept on waiting behind the tall statue. I tried not to make any loud sounds. Sweat trickled down my neck. I gulped and kept waiting... And waiting.... I didn't dare turn around.

I started to breathe out and carefully turned my neck around. The only thing I saw was Lilac, the food, and the crystal ball. I turned my head more to see if there were any suspicious shadows or anything that were signs of a human (mainly my uncle, who I'm pretty sure is not a human), but luckily, there were now. I got out of my position and then noticed, Lilac was in my head!

"No, silly, I was not in your head! I used one of my magic abilities! Remember what I told you?"

"Oh, uh, yeah.... Was that like, advanced magic or something? I might want to learn that!! Sending messages to people... Wait, how did you know what I was thinking about?"

"Sigh, if only you understood me..." He nodded and went back to chewing his food. It was kind of cool how just a wave of his paw, he can levitate the food. And... Didn't he say he was, I don't know, part human? Or maybe he said...

"You have a bad memory don't ya?" God, he knows... "Yes, I am part human."

"And part animal hybrid..."

"Correct!" He smiled. "Sigh, I wonder what it's like outside of this place, y'know, in the open world. Where all the other humans are at.." His smile slowly disappeared.

"Can't you just, I don't know, go?"

"What?! Your crazy! I will dishonor my culture and family!!"

"Just have a break for a mo-"

"No way!! It can be dangerous!" I reached my hand to pat him on the back. Lilac's fur was so soft and smooth.

"There must be some way... Hey, did you have to sign some contract or something to protect this crystal like ball. Maybe they needed your signature or something? (If he had one..)"

"Hm, your right. I still have it.." He closed his eyes and waved his tiny paws. Then suddenly, an old, dusty scroll popped out of no where. "It says right here" Lilac placed his paw on a sentence, "that if I sign up, I can have a break for a month once in a while."

"Sweet! No matter what, they have to give you your one month break! This is wonderful! You will finally have 30 days to yourself!" I smiled, but I tried not to show more of my excitement. I mean, where is he going to live? What is he going to-

"It's settled then!" The pink and blue haired creature announced. "Now, time to find-"

"Excuse me, I heard someone was going to look for me..." A tall man with a long beard said with a long, elegant robe. He was being carried. I bet he is too "royal" to walk on the ground.

Don't talk bad to him. He's Emperor Shawn... Don't mess around with him...

"Who is this... This.. Peasant!" The Emperor said. He looked disappointed... "I am disappointed in you! You should know better to not talk to those... Peasants.... Ugh.." He started walking toward Lilac. Wait, is Lilac part of a royal family?

"I'm sorry, Emperor." Lilac bowed ever so royal and looked at him. "I just met this friend and she is-"

"Ugh, you were brainwashed weren't you? Any who, I recalled you looking at that.. That scroll... Did it changed your mind on anything? Hmm? Or was it" he points at me disgustingly "her...."

"No, Emperor. I... I was thinking about... I was thinking about having my one month break!" Did it take this long to take a little break? The Emperor gasped and was surprised.

"I thought you were happy that you got to protect this crystal sphere?!" Shawn replied angrily. He started to whisper something in Lilac's ear. Since he was a terrible whisperer, I was able to hear what he say... "Did you remember how happy you were when you signed the contract?!" First of all, LILAC WAS HAPPY THAT HE WAS GOING TO DO THIS?! Sigh, I will never understand him.. So I decided to take charge.
