The Babysitter ( luke hemmings)

* Katie's P.O.V. *

*beep beep beep* my alarm clock suddenly woke me up from my deep sleep.

I realized that it was Monday and lets just say I am not looking forward to school. I get out of bed and go strait to the bathroom just like every morning. I turned the sink on and cupped the cold water in my hands and splashed it on my face to wake me up a little. After I dried my face I brushed my teeth because I hate smelling my morning breathe.

I had no idea what to wear. After scrummaging through my drawers for 10 minuets I finally picked out some jean shorts with rips in them, a loose fitting grey tank, and my black vans. After I make sure I have all my books, grab my backpack and run downstairs.

I set my backpack on the ground and go to the the cabinet to get a bowl, get some cereal and make me breakfast. I sit at the table with my 2 little sisters and eat my breakfast trying to remember if I had any homework. My Mom interrupted my thoughts " girls I have news" all 3 of us just turned our head toward her, it was to early for any of us to speak. " so I've decided to hire a baby sitter for y'all ". Did i just hear that right? Did she really just say that I need a babysitter.

" MOM WHAT THE FUCK IM 17 I CAN HANDLE MYSELF ON MY OWN I CAN JUST WATCH THE GIRLS TOO, WE DONT NEED ANYONE TO WATCH US!" My mom looked a little shocked that I cursed around my sisters, i don't get the big deal. My younger sister is shayla, shes 9 years old my other sister's name is kaylee and shes 13 years old. Incase you were wondering my dad left us when shayla was 1 years old, supposably he was cheating on my mom with some ugly bitch.

My mom finally spoke, " First of all don't use that language" I cut her off with a "whatever" before she could say anything else. She continued " I'm sorry katie, I don't trust you" my sisters didn't seem to care. " The boy starts tomorrow because I have a meeting to go to" this is unbelievable. " DO YOU EVEN KNOW HIS NAME " She tried to speak but nothing came out, after sitting there she finally spoke " well no but we will find out tomorrow" she stuttered

I picked up my backpack and stormed out the door without telling any of them bye. As I was walking to school he heard a car slow down next to me.

Usually I tell my self not to turn around but I wasn't it the mood so I just looked back. Omg ew luke hemmings.

" Need a ride?" Luke asked so seriously

" um no thank you" I giggled And rolled my eyes. Did Luke Hemmings really just ask me if I need a ride?

Luke is a new student. He left from Sydney, Australia without his parents a few months ago. No one really likes him because he's so nerdy and the fact that his mom is a math teacher doesn't help. I feel bad sometimes when i'm mean to him or if anyone else is but I don't want to be nice because then people will think I'm a nerd.

I finally reached my biology class right before the bell rang.

I didn't even pay attention, I was just thinking about how i'm to have a babysitter at 17. I hate my mom so much right now.

As I was walking home from school i hear footsteps running behind, I turn around to see - what.... Calum Hood.

" Hey Katie, mind if I join you"

Why is Calum Hood talking to me. Incase you didn't know I've had a crush on Calum for about a year now and he's never really talked to me before. Calum was the most popular person in the whole school. Every boy is jealous of him and every girl drools over him.. And what I don't understand is that why is he talking to an ugly, not so popular girl like me.

" sure why not" I say while my whole body is practically shaking.. And its not just because its cold out side.

" sooo.." He extended the O trying to break the silence. " what ya doing this friday?"

What does it matter to him? Why does he want to know? " That I know of.. Nothing." Im so confused right now. " why? " I asked looking confused.

" I was just wondering if you want to hang out" is this some kind of joke? Im not going to lie I was happy but a little worried that this is a joke, that I will confess that i like him then make fun of me, i honestly don't know what to think. But why say no when you can say yes?

" sure what would we do?" I asked casually trying to hide that I was fan girling in my head.

" um i was thinking we could maybe go see a Movie or something" is this real life.

" ok we can talk more about it later I need to get home" I can tell he wanted to talk more and I wanted to too but I had to go. " Ok, talk to you later love." did I just hear that right? Did he really just call me love?

I was tired so I was just going to make a snack and go to bed early. I pulled out a pizza from the freezer and put it in the oven. When it was ready I quickly ate 2 slices and went upstairs to my room. I decided to take a quick shower. I never really realize how dirty I am until I look at my wash rag. Thank GOd for showers.

When I got out I threw on a big T-shirt and some sweat pants and crawled to bed just thinking about what happened an hour ago with Calum. I still cant believe The Calum Hood asked me to hang out.
